In Short – Indulgence reigns at this lavish downtown steakhouse. Accented with marble and mahogany, the opulent restaurant encompasses three dining rooms with a centralized fireplace. A quaint patio offers outdoor seating while the piano bar provides constant entertainment for the upscale diners and socializing clientele. The traditional American menu features only the finest in USDA prime steaks, cold-water lobster and fresh seafood, along with potatoes and vegetables or additions like fresh asparagus and mushrooms.
Lamb Chops descended from heaven

I have been wanting to try this place forever and the opportunity finally came up when a frequent dinner companion announced he wanted steak. The atmosphere was nice, Spanish marble clad floors, rich woods, dim lighting and spacious booths. The menu was compact but full of words like: scallops, wedge salad, Chilean Sea Bass, Veal Chop and Lamb Chops...all my favorite things. Service was attentive, but not too much. Drinks came quickly and mixed well. Specials were described well and not read. The wine list, albeit pricy, read like a novel and something for everyone.
Everything was perfect until some caterwauling "person" begin performing at the piano in the bar across the partition. Not everyone is into lounge acts and most resturants are separated to where you can choose if you want the "club" atmosphere or a nice quiet dinner with friends. I tried not to let it ruin my evening.
I ordered the lamb very rare. It arrived perfectly with mashed potatoes and snap peas. Onions, tomatoes and cream corn were served table side and were delicious. The wedge salad was microscopic, but incredibily flavorful.
At $125 a person I am not sure I will hurry back, but if you want to drop that kind of dough, check it out.
- Pros: Prompt service and good food
- Cons: Piano bars do not belong in dining rooms
I don't know, we didn't like it

We took friends here to celebrate their marriage. They very much enjoyed it but I have to say the wife and I did not. At all.
The steak tar tar was good as was the wine list. Service was good, not great. At $500 for 4 people (2 bottles of wine) I expect fantastic.
The main meal...well we decided to try their red wine reduction sauce on the steaks and lets just say I did my best to scrape it off and have no one notice. I could barely eat my beef, I just hated it. My wife thought it was ok, but didn't dig it like our friends. Who by the way are the kind of folks who like things that are expensive more than because they are good.
Not for me, won't go here again. May be you'll like it more but I can cook a better steak in my own home.
why was I excited to eat here??

Odered the Sea Bass and it came out way under cooked......a manager stopped by the table to check on our food as our waitress hadnt. I told him I thought it was too raw and he said "since it gets flown in everyday it wont hurt you". I appreciate being able to go into a restaurant and not get sick but what about cooking the way I like it? The fish although not eaten was still on the tab when we got it.....
The salads werent any good either.
They do well with their bread and creamed corn but that is about it!
