My kids have learned so much at Primrose!

I have two children (ages 2 and 4) at the Primrose School of Shady Hollow and I couldn't be happier! My husband and I toured many preschools before choosing Primrose.
During our tour I was impressed with the staff and facility, but what most impressed me was the curriculum. I am happy to say that the curriculum presented on the tour wasn't just hype. I see the evidence of how much my children are learning everyday, it is truly remarkable. Primrose also puts a lot of emphasis on giving back to the community and those less fortunate which I think is a really important lesson for the children.
The staff is also terrific! Whenever I have had an issue it has been addressed by the teachers or the management team immediately. Most importantly my children really enjoy their teachers and like being at school.
I am a working mom so I don't get to spend the time with my children that I would like. It gives me such piece of mind to know that when I'm not there they are happy, safe and learning. Thank you Primrose!
My son loved Primrose!

Our son is now 6 and spent a little over 2 years at Primrose before going to kinder at a public school. His kinder teacher says he's doing very well and has obviously seen the material before.
The ratios are awesome and so are the teachers! Any concern I had was dealt with in a very professional yet caring and positive manner. He really blossomed and learned so much at Primrose. The owners were on-site and very approachable. I can't imagine a better experience for our son!
Better than "daycare" its a school!

We visited many other "daycares" in the south Austin area and from day one we felt that this was a school and not a daycare. The staff has been absolutely wonderful to our 3 year old twins. The curriculum inspires young minds to explore and learn. Parents have an added benefit of having access to their weekly curriculum as well as links to a variety of websites that allow us as parents to provide a continuity of learning at home that corresponds to what they are learning at school. These website links are updated for each week's "units of learning".
The owners, Duff and Kristen are actively involved in the school/business that they have built and it’s not unusual to see one or both there on most days of the week
Finally... saving the best for last, the school director, Adrienne, is absolutely incredible. She takes the time to answer any questions you may have, and I have had plenty of questions! If she doesn't have an immediate answer her follow up has always been later that day or at the latest, the following day. She truly cares for the children at Primrose and wants them to develop to their full capacity and will work with you to ensure that happens.
loved our experience

My children have been at this Primrose for 2 years now. They love going to school and all the personal touches like their own backpacks and uniforms. They have a lot of college educated teachers and older staff and the ratios seem lower than at other schools. Whenver we speak with the directors our needs are always met and sometimes above what we requested. We have had a great experience.
- Pros: involved owners, strong directors, great curriculum
- Cons: nutrition
Best care for our children

I'm suprised to read these other reviews and wonder if they aren't talking about somewhere else. We've been in the school for over 3 years and came from a competitor. This is the first school we've found that does what it says. They have a friendly staff, they all know me and my children by name. They really have a curriculum. (my last school said they did but I never saw evidence of it). If there is ever a problem they follow up quickly. (The owners even post their personal number at the front desk!) I've looked at other new schools in the area and they don't even compare.
- Pros: Friendly, Responsive Staff and Owners
- Cons: Have not experienced any yet
