An Austin favorite for its vast record collection and cool south 1st street vibe. Great prices and a nice selection of used pieces as well.
Lots of collectible vinyl LP's and singles at a reasonable price, coupled with a friendly, knowledgeable staff and not-judgy buy-backs (yep, they'll take your Spice Girls).
Winner of seven "Best of Austin" awards, End of an Ear harkens back to the glory days of Inner Sanctum and Sound Exchange, specializing in experimental, punk, psychedelic, dub, metal, jazz, and blues.
Excellent selection of classic and newly-released vinyl at this locally-owned shop. The staff is friendly, and it feels like you just walked into the record store Andy works at in "Pretty in Pink."
If you love vinyl, go here and get a Go Local card because you will end up shopping here often.
Best record store in town, especially for metal heads.
Pick up The Saint James Society EP here! Local dudes that own that limo 2 doors down...
Certainly the best place for used vinyl and new releases. Make sure you scour the 99 cent bin for treasures.
They post weekly videos on their Facebook page, thumbing through their new used records. Genius!
Probably the best record store in town. Grab a Go Local card if youre gonna shop often, itll save you some serious dough.

End Of An Ear is one of a kind. What a great selection for a small store. It's so hard to find my husband a present that he likes. But no doubt, if I go to End of an Ear they'll have some hard to find CD that he'll love.
