Blondie at Salon Republic

I had been going to a hairdresser for almost a year getting my hair bleached. Finally, I realized it was fried! I decided to get it chopped off and go back to a more natural color. I had my best friend's wedding coming up in a couple of days and the rehearsal dinner that night. I was worried I wouldn't be able to get in anywhere soon enough. I called the Salon Republic in the Anderson Mill shopping center. At my surprise, Blondie was able to fit me in right then and there! She was going to have to go over my bleached hair with a color that was close to my own. She mixed up some color, slapped it on, and voila! The result was amazing! She managed to match my natural color to a T. Not to mention, after the cut, (which was very cute) my hair felt soft and healthy again.

:) Blondie is quite a character. She will keep you entertained while she does your hair. And she really knows what she's doing!

Experienced, personable, can do any style, great cut!

Blondie is so great! She's extremely personable and is well worth the money. I moved to Austin and needed a hair dresser. I walked into Salon Republic because it was so close to my apartment and asked the office there to recommend someone to me. They gave me Blondie's card and I am so glad they did! I had wanted a change for my hair but did not know exactly what to ask for. I talked with Blondie about what I had wanted, which was to get my hair thinned a little, something about shoulder length, and something to look good with my face shape. She gave me a great bob and some bangs that framed my face perfectly. The cut grew out really well and she made sure the cut was something I could easily take care of. A time or two later when I went to see her, I asked for something different again and brought her a picture fo a very choppy haircut. She said that she wouldn't give it to anyone, but because she knew I could handle the extreme change, she would give me the cut. She is very careful like that not to give you something that you think you want but may not turn out how you think it will. She makes sure you are going to go home loving your cut. She solely used a razor to give me the really choppy hair cut and gave me a lot more bangs for a cool edgy look that I love. I can play up the edginess or make it look softer. She lets me know what products will work best for whatever cut she gives me and they have worked great without being costly. The fact that she is easy to talk to is just a perk to the great cut. I highly recommend Blondie for your hair needs. :)

Best Stylist Ever...

It has been a long time since I had gotten my hair done because my last visit to a salon ended up giving me a complex about my hair. Needless to say I was a little nervous.

I scoured citysearch to find the right stylist for me and I did exactly that. Blondie was funny and easy to talk to about my hair situation. She listened to what a wanted and needed for my hair. Unlike many stylists she didn't try to sell me products I don't need but told me how to use the ones I already have at home. She also told me what to look for the next time I go to buy products that will help my hair and scalp.

I am so happy that after a year and a half of bad haircuts I have found someone that I can trust with my hair. I will be going back very soon to have her do my color also.

Did exactly what I asked for

I spent the past 2 years growing out my natural color after a bad highlighting job (huge chunky blonde highlights that I hated) so I didn't let anyone touch my hair for years. I decided it was finally time to get my hair done for my sister's wedding so I wanted to find someone who would do EXACTLY what I wanted. I had a consultation with Blondie and she listened to me, answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable letting her do my hair. I wanted something very conservative and not obvious that I my hair was highlighted so we decided on "halo highlights" which makes your hair look like the sun is shining on it from different angles. I just had it done yesterday and it was EXACTLY what I wanted, very conservative and lightened up my face. I saw my parents later that night and they didn't know exactly what I had done but they both mentioned my hair looked really good (I have a chronic disease so I often look washed-out) They thought maybe it was that my hair was straight (it's normally curley/wavy) so my new highlights weren't obvious, just like I wanted, it just brightened up my complexion. Very happy:)

I've had Blondie cut my hair several times and also put some highlights in for me. I'm an East Coast girl so I need someone who knows what "less is more" means! Blondie is great at listening to what I do and do not want and asks if anything from prior visits needs to be tweaked and insists that I call and let her know if anything is not going perfectly with my cut and color. I get a ton of complitments on my hair and would recommend anyone to give Blondie a try. With a few days notice she always seems to be able to work me in at my preferred time. And I love that you don't have to deal with the hassle and pretense of dt. You can go in your sweats to get your hair done and no one will give you second look, except maybe for your fabulous hair!
