Exercise, self-knowledge, and psychotherapy all in one. My life has changed immeasurably since I started attending Krav classes at Fit and Fearless a year and a half ago. First of all, I'm in the best shape of my life. Krav classes are intense workouts that test your strength and your cardio and your will, and as a consequence I'm completely exhausted at the end of every class. But it's the good kind of exhausted, the kind that comes from knowing every part of your body was used and tested. As a result of Krav Maga, I've got muscles I never knew existed, I can kick and punch and knee and elbow for long stretches without dying (contrary to my early classes, when death was always looming), and I can get punched, kicked, kneed, and elbowed without crumbling. There are lots of workouts out there, but krav leaves you with a body that feels conditioned to withstand and dole out punishment. It's a don't-mess-with-me body.

Second of all, all the sparring and aggression drills and ground fighting I do have allowed me to tap into my aggressive side. Not malicious, angry, or cruel, just aggressive. Until I started taking Krav classes I didn't know if I had it in me to fight, but I knew I hoped I did. Now I know I do, which is a pretty amazing feeling. Krav classes are both outlets for your aggression and lessons in controlling that aggression. And there's nothing as therapeutic as letting that aggression loose for an hour. There hasn't been an analyst's couch built or an anti-depressant concocted that can compete with the sheer salubriousness of a good hour spent beating up a bag and fending off chokes.

Enter anxious, leave calm. It's the Krav way.

Awesome workout & useful skills. I had never attended a Krav Maga class, but a friend invited me & I'm so glad I went! On top of being a killer workout, the class helped me tap into my aggressive side. It felt great and reminded me how strong I can be.

The instructors are very patient and eager to demonstrate the moves one-on-one. I really enjoyed the class and would recommend it to anyone looking to combine a good workout with some really valuable real-world skills.

Krav Maga Alpine Austin. I am in great shape, but the workout I got here is the best workout I've ever had. In just a couple weeks I was stronger than I've ever been with an extremely strong cardio base. I also received the benefit of learning the amazing techniques of Krav Maga, which gives women the confidence and ability to defend herself should she ever have to.

The staff is amazing!!! A friend and I joined together and had the friendliest and most knowledgeable instructors greet us and personally instruct us regarding technique. Neither of us had a background in self defense, but quickly learned. I look forward to every workout!

Self Defense AND a great workout!. My sister and I met the instructor and he invited us out to come try a class. Now, I work out a LOT, I'm a personal trainer, so I thought it would be cake. WRONG. There's a high intensity warm up getting your whole body ready for action, then the instructor gave quick examples and we went to it! Pairing up with someone closest to your size/strength/ability, and went to hitting, kicking, defending. I really enjoyed it, and suffered no injuries.

I recommend this to all, especially women, because it is world renowned self defending, life saving techniques, created by the Israeli Army. It is fundamental movements, not like Karate or something so complex you'll take forever to really learn it. There are basic and complex movements: blocks, jabs, kicks, also teaching you aggressive attacks to get you out of trouble when someone tries to attack you.

Give it a shot! And take a friend! It's fun to do with someone else :)

Best workout in years!!!. This was the best workout I've had in years! My whole body was feeling it just 5 minutes in. Plus, I felt a lot safer as a woman who would be able to defend herself if approached on the street by a bad guy!! I highly recommend it for fitness training as well as self defense! The guy who approaches me on a dark street is going to be sorry - #$%Ha-Cha!!$*!
