Monica is the very best stylist in Austin!!!. Monica has been my hair stylist for over three years now and I wouldn't trade her for the world. Not only is she very down to earth and personable, she also has an in depth knowledge of hair and various hair treatments. Her very skilled hands will give you the perfect cut. I have never felt so in love with my own hair and constantly am complimented about it. It is not only healthier and shinier but, she manages to create the perfect cut for my face. I have never been disappointed by her in all these years and would never try another stylist again. She has the best work ethic and goes the extra length to make sure her customers are 100% satisfied. I've recommended her to all my friends and family. And without hesitation am recommending her to all who read this review....If you are living in Austin, you must give Monica a try. You will not be disappointed.

Best for Brazilian Hair Straightening!. Thank you so much for giving my hair a complete makeover with the Brazilian Keratin Treatment. I am absolutely in awe of how soft and shiny my hair is. I also love that my once very course curly hair that I dreaded combing has been transformed into silky large wavy tendrils. I had tiny curls but I did not want to get a 'stick straight' hair transformation. This treatment was perfect and well worth the investment. I can wear my hair wavy and down or straighten it with a flat iron in less then half the time it previously took! Before, I could not wear my curly hair down without having a huge helmet hair style that was not flattering. Also I want to add that these Keratin treatments are a remarkable breakthrough from the days of harsh stinky relaxers that made your hair board straight and would not enable the hair to have natural movement (I tried many of them back in the day.)

I can't emphasize you how happy and more beautiful you made me feel! I will definately be back to get this treatment done again. Thank you!

Monica is Fantastic!. I am an African American woman with natural hair (no chemicals). I went to Monica for a Keratin treatment. I was looking to loosen my natural curl and cut down on frizz without using chemicals. From the moment that I contacted Monica, she was very professional and explained what I could expect from the treatment. I was super excited about my appointment, but nervous that Monica may not be able to handle my thick and kinky natural hair. Monica handled my hair beautifully. From start to finish, Monica knew exactly how to work with my hair. The result was a silky, shiny, manageable hair of head. Thank you Monica!

Big Salon Talent without the pretention!. I found Monica a short time after I had just moved here. I was desperately seeking relaxing for my curly, now frizzy red hair. I wanted to try thermal reconditioning and thought perhaps in the city I would have a better experience. Then I found Monica's Marbella website. I could tell from all of the info on the site that she was no fledgling stylist. I got a good feeling about her so I called to make an appointment. I was a bit shocked that I had to wait almost a month for the appointment but I really wanted this done so I waited.

My appointment time arrived and I upon entering the hole in the wall shop I was nervous, but Monica came out right away and greeted me, and we got to work. We talked about the process, how many she had done and she was just so confidant and relaxed that I felt the same. As this is a long process I wondered if there would be 3 hours of awkward silences. NO WAY! We told each other life stories, compared movie likes, talked parenting, husbands and before I knew it...my hair was straight, silky and I was ecstatic! Monica's hands are like little hair surgeons. She works effortlessly and her personality makes you glad to be there. This is an expensive service but I really felt I got my money's worth and found a terrific stylist to boot. I just had my second thermal reconditioning treatment today. It was just like we had seen each other the week before and not 10 months ago. She does such a good job that I won't need the service again for many months. Perhaps I'll go for a cut so I don't have to wait so long!!

The Best in Austin. It was by sheer luck alone that I stumbled into Monica's salon 6 years ago when I moved to Austin. At the time I was incredibly nervous about putting my delicate and perfectly blonde locks into the hands of someone new. However, Monica is a hair care genius! She matched the color perfectly on my first visit and has been taking excellent care of my hair ever since. Great conversation and great prices make my visits even more enjoyable and to top it all off she is speedy - so I'm back to work in a flash. Girls, if you're looking for great stylist with a no non-sense approach to great hair - you should definitely make an appointment with Monica right away!

The Keratin Smoothing Complex is Awesome!. I had read all of these great reviews about Monica at Marbella Hair Studio regarding the Yuko permanent hair straightening, but I was a little disappointed that my hair was not healthy enough for the process. Luckily, Monica suggested the Keratin Smoothing Complex (same as the Brazilian Blowout) as an alternate treatment which would not only take the kinks out of my natural curls, but would actually strengthen my hair while leaving it feeling silky. The results are awesome! Even two weeks later, my hair is still so soft, smooth and manageable. Thank you so much Monica.

Truly a Great Stylist!. I have lived in thirteen different cities and I have always said that one of the most difficult things about a move is finding a new stylist! When I first came to Austin I tried one salon and went 5-6 times but it seemed no matter what I said or did, each cut was worse than the last. A friend recommended Monica and I have been her client ever since. She is extremely professional with an ability to hear what her clients want and translate that into a really good haircut. I appreciate that she is prompt with her appointment times as well as responding quickly to my calls for appointments. I am delighted that in Austin I have finally found a really great stylist!

Always Pleasee with the Results. My hair is very important to me as I have to see Monica every 4 weeks as I have been blessed with gray hair. Monica has done a wonderful job with my hair color and hair cut. She is not only an awesome hair dresser, but is a great person to talk to. We are both working moms and like to compare our boy’s stories. She is very easy going and always listens to my concerns with my hair. She is very straight forward and I really like that. I have always been happy with my hair and I love her hours.

Relaxing Visits. Monica has been my personal beauty advisor for several years. I've done my aging gracefully with her intuitive guidance. This being said, I'll explain. After years of coloring, I started noticing those"silver strands" in my hair. I liked what I saw but....... Monica helped me thru those long months of out-growth with patience and a slight touch up or two. She seems to have an innate knowledge of color and style, not to mention the wonderful head massage while shampooing. The salon is always clean and very organized. Monica, herself, is a lovely, professional person. I thoroughly enjoy my visits.

Always Great Results. Monica has been doing my highlights for years. She does a great job and is reasonably priced. I use email to make my appointments--which I love. She always works with my schedule which is not easy since I am a flight attendant. On top of all of that, she is easy to talk to, so time just flies by when I'm there!
