Best coffee shop I have ever been to. I live in S Austin and go to Erie Bean at least a couple times each week. The coffee is good and less expensive than all the chain places (e.g. Starbucks). The staff is friendly but more important they are genuine - the owners even work the coffee bar certain times. They also have free live music every week and sometimes even free drinks! There seems to be a local crowd that is always there but they are friendly to non-locals too.

Iced soy latte rocks!. I work and live in the neighborhood. They have a great soy iced latte! Great back yard! I walk there almost every day!!

Totally at home here.. Love this place! I could just live here! really like the internet service and of course the coffee. love the atmosphere and the overall vibe. Really nice folks there. I stop in on my rounds and make sure to get my java!

Positive vibes coffee bar has more to offer than most. The young Irie Bean Coffee Bar is much more than just java and beer. They have so much more to offer their customers than the normal coffee shops you will find in the area. They have a book club and a kids decaf club as well as a monthly Yappy Hour for dogs to enjoy and the occasional wine tasting parties. The staff is a personable mix of young people who aspire to make everyone as happy as they are. Everyone is friendly and carry smiles on their faces contagiously. Live, local, chill out music is playing on the back patio almost every night. I love the grass couch.

Discover this place!. If you haven't checked out the Irie Bean yet, you really should. I'm a lover of the coffee shop atmosphere and this place has a great vibe. The staff is friendly, the coffee is great and there are so many fun things to do no matter what you're into - great live music, pet happy hours, wine tastings, coffee classes, kids events and more. My favorite part - a great patio. When you want to socialize with the staff or other customers or find your own space to read, work or reflect - you can find your place here. I took a look at their website too and it's pretty cool (check out the event calendar there).

Best Staff, Service, and Atmosphere!. I have been to many coffee shops, including a number of them in the Coffee Mecca of America, Seattle. This one by far has the most down to earth and personable staff I have ever encountered. And what makes it even better, they are very knowledgeable. The environment and free Wifi allows patrons to enjoy their beverage of choice while working diligently on their laptops. Speaking of beverages, this is a coffee bar; meaning that they have whatever drink your heart desires: coffee, latte, espresso, juice, smoothie, a variety of beers, and some wine. Be sure to check out the calendar here as well because they always have some kind of event going on. They even have customer appreciation days every once and a while where they serve free beer!... You can't beat that!

Oh, I almost forgot... there is also a large pet-friendly backyard/patio/grassy area that you wouldn't expect at a shop on South Lamar.
