Instep

Great Service - If you don't mind a guilt trip. I came in to buy my first set of "real" kitchen shoes the other day and I can't tell you how great the service was. Both of the ladies there that day were attentive and helpful, happily going out of their way to assist me in not only finding a shoe to fit my needs but also in my final decision.

Unfortunately I made the wrong decision.

I returned promptly the next day, shoes and apologies in hand, pride hanging by a thread, to find that to my dismay that neither Abbey nor the other employee that had helped me previously were on shift. Fortunately the one employee at the counter was receptive and assisted me in returning my shoes for the twice as expensive pair I had looked at the day before.

However she didn't do it easily.

No, she seemed rather grudging about the matter. Though she thankfully made the return for me, she made sure to remind me a few times that the store could no longer sell the shoes I had brought back and they would have to give them away thereby losing money on them. I guess I am lucky that "Everybody get's one chance" but man did it make me feel uncomfortable.

Bottom Line

I will return to Instep to purchase my next pair of non-slips because they genuinely do have good customer service and a great selection but if I ever recommend them it will be with a warning.…

Excellent service!!. I went to InStep because I needed my orthotics adjusted. The Pedorthist at Instep is named Stephen and he is truly amazing. He met with me and gave me 2 different add ons for my orthotic to try and called me several times to see how they were feeling and to ask which one was working better. He emailed my podiatrist during the week to let him know what I had told him. I gave Stephen the orthotics so he could permantly attach the add ons and he offered to re-align them with a cushionier fabric to help my feet. He is a truly amazing guy that goes above and beyond to help you and I recommend Instep and Stephen to ANYONE that has foot/ankle/ knee pain.…

5 year customer. I have been an InStep customer for 5 years. I appreciate the friendliness and expertise of the staff. I have never been displeased with the service although I dislike buying shoes. They make it very pleasant. They give me space and time to consider my purchase, which is just what I need. Even if I pick out something that is wrong for my feet, they will help me find something like it that works for my difficult feet.…
