The Academy of Oriental Medicine at Austin offers a comprehensive program of study leading to a Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine degree. The program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, the national accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education to accredit professional programs in the field.

Our program includes acupuncture and moxibustion training, Chinese herbology, taichi and qigong, Oriental nutrition, biomedical sciences and an extensive clinical training experience of more than 1,000 hours. Graduates of AOMA's program are eligible to apply for the national board exams administered by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

I love this place. The music is quiet. The seating comfortable. They have gifts, drinks, books, and all manner of healthy stuff

The Academy has a great library that is open-not only for students and staff at AOMA-but also to members of the public as well. They have a very extensive collection of materials on topics such as acupuncture,Traditional Chinese Medicine, (it is a school of oriental medicine after all)different kinds of herbal medicine and martial arts. You should check it out!
