Not everyone knows that Red 7 hosts national touring comedy acts. But in keeping with their metal sensibilities, I saw the (loud, irreverent, wonderful) Doug Stanhope there three years ago on their outdoor stage, along with a packed, fist-pumping audience.

In Short
Although bar service is limited to patrons age 21 and up, all ages are admitted to this live hardcore music joint. Depending on the lineup, a cover charge ranging from $3 to $10 gets fans in the door. Awaiting them inside is an unpretentious punk bar that has rejected conventional décor. Posters from past shows line the otherwise red and black walls, while several archways alternately conceal and reveal the band thrashing on the corner stage.
