Localized Monopoly. Pros: Quality website. Good selection. Very convenient location.

Cons: Nazi Soup Kitchen customer service. High prices.

There simply aren't any other gun shops as conveniently located or well-advertised in Austin, so Mcbride's will be busy as hell no matter how poorly they treat their customers or how high they price everything, including used items. Purchase your guns and ammo from somewhere else even if it's a pain in the ass to get there. Go to big box retailers like Academy and Cabela's if you have to.

TURN AROUND AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!. There is not a low enough star I can put down. Go to any of the other reviews on McBrides guns and you will see a major theme. Poor customer service, rude staff, cold enviorment. I was told my order would come in 7 to 10 days. Now, after three weeks I gave them a call to find out why it hasnt arrived. I was told in a nut shell "we told you , we will call you. Why are you calling us to find out?". Bottom line, they are not going to go out of thier way to help you out. I am VERY dissapointed in thier level of service. I have to go in there today to press the issue, otherwise I know I will just be sitting here waiting another week or two for no good reason and I dread going in because I know I'"m going to get something unpleasant. If you MUST go in there, get what you need and get the heck out of dodge ASAP!!

Rudest People in Austin. Well, if you are looking for a business which will be rude and condescending to you, look no further, McBride's is here!! Don't go here for coins or bullion, their prices are far higher than most in Austin and the surrounding areas. I had been here a few times and each time have been astonished at how expensive and rude these workers are to their customers. If you are selling your guns to them, watch out!! They will give you next to nothing for it and then jack up the price 3 times higher as soon as you walk away from the counter. The owner is totally unscrupulous and rude and he hires workers that are just like him. I would not recommend this place at all --unless you enjoy getting scammed and made to feel like you are worthless.
