For Black women who want to go Natural. I have been going to Tanya since August 2008 when she was still at Topaz. I was mostly done transitioning from relaxed to natural hair, and needed someone willing to style it and lo and behold I found Tanya. When I first stepped in, she cut off the rest of my relaxed hair and started my gradual acceptance of wearing my hair natural and I really appreciate that. I went from a short, straight hair to short curly hair, and now to a stylized afro. I was kind of reluctant about it, but she was so nice about it and never forced me into any style I would hate.

So, I definitely recommend for any black woman who plans on going natural to go see Tanya to help you with the transition. So defintely an A+.

Wonderfully low key no pressure atmosphere. I think this place is fantastic. I have been getting my hair cut and colored by Annie regularly for a little over a year and I have absolutely no complaints, only word of praise. I always love the results and get tons of compliments on my hair. The low key and relaxing environment is such a nice change for those of us who don't like stuck up, high pressure sales salons. Everyone who works there is really nice and genuinely down to earth. It is a real pleasure to get my hair done there.

I love my hair when I leave. I've only been twice, but both times have rendered my hair fabulously. I love this modest salon. It suits my 20-something, professional, semi-party, semi-calm, funky, tasteful lifestyle...and budget. Nothing over- or underdone. Advanced appointments are a must...I've had to wait about a week for the earliest appointment.
