So close, you can't go wrong........ i bounce around quite a bit and always make it a point to check out the local scene if i can. I recently made a trip to Austin for 3 days on business and stayed at the Hampton Inn. Most people recommended that i check out the 6th St. scene so i did. I was pleased with the variety, but was even happier to find a great place steps away from my hotel. The place is right next to a P.F. Changs, so after we had dinner one night we stopped in. This place is awesome. So close for anyone staying at the hotels around the immediate area, and away from the crowded, and sometimes sloppy drunk, 6th St. A very comfortable setting, a nice open air sitting area, great live music (one night was a 3 person Jazz-Blues band, the next night was an 8 piece Reggae band, and the next was a great jam band with horns and a fiddle player), and the bartenders know their music. The sound is amazing. Martinis and a nice import selection made for a great couple of nights. After talking with the bartenders, i came to find out that Club 115 has recently changed ownership and are planning to have some upcoming big shows with touring bands. I will be back in Mid-July and know where i'll unwind after work. Definately check this place out. Good people playing good music serving good drinks.
