A smaller, more curated thrift store
just off Chicon, this sweet place partners with Ecology Action to recycle, and is working toward a zero-waste policy. Clothing-wise, everything is super cheap, and I once bought a pink $10 tutu here once that fulfilled (if for one party only) my fleeting ballerina fantasies.
unique little thrift shop, real cheap!.
This is one of the few thrift stores that's still thrifty. I don't think they've raised any of their prices since they opened. Shirts are $1-3, skirts $3, pants $4. All kinds of random awesome stuff -last time there I found a wetsuit, a movie camera, a cool set of vintage dishes, and a ton of clothes in really good shape. They even have a "25 cent"section where you can get crazy cheap clothes.
And unlike the mega goodwills, this is a small, indie shop that gives their $$ and extra stuff to local non-profits like Yellowbike,Inside Books, Worker's Defense Project, etc.
It's easy to miss driving down 12th street, and I heard that next month their moving a few blocks further down 12th st, so it may get harder. But totally worth seeking out!
