Amazing Massage (review from Evin). Last year I received a gift certificate for Valentine?s Day for your salon from my husband. I?d never been to a spa before and never had a massage. A few months later I came in and used my certificate for the MOST amazing experience of my life. The certificate was for a 1 hr massage and a 1 hour facial. You were my massage therapist and it was amazing. I?ve got three kids and any time we have a play date, and the other moms start talking about massages and spas, I sing your praises. I tell EVERYONE to go see y?all.

Horrible customer service and very unprofessional.. My experience with this business was nothing more than disapointing. I booked an a date with the owner Robin, who apperantly forgot to include my name, however managed to charge my credit card. I do not understand how that may of been. When I spoke with the receptionist to try and resolve the issue she informed me that Robin was too busy to resolve my issue. So now I don't have an appointment and my credit card has already been charged. I'am sorry to have chosen to do business with these people.

Bad Customer Service. Usually when you book an appointment at a spa, you are expecting that the service provider will show up to do the service. In fact, in many cases, if you, the customer, don't show up, they will charge you! Today I had an appointment at Plaza Cortez for a brow wax and when I arrived, the receptionist informs me that the aesthetician has left for the day and I wouldn't be able to get my service. I asked why they couldn't have called and they claimed they didn't have my name yet I provided it (read spelled out both first and last name) and I have been there before so they had my number on record. I asked to speak to the manager, who they called on the phone, and after a weak apology, she hung up the phone. This spa should be embarrassed for their lack of respect for customers.

Disappointed with Waxing. I went to Robin twice for the waxing services. She uses a unique product called NuFree. I really liked the product but both times I received a less than satisfactory wax job that took two or three times what it normally takes a good practitioner. The first time we were interrupted by her coworker and Robin left in the middle of the service leaving me covered in wax while she helped someone else. After the wax jobs were complete and she left me to dress I realized that there was still a significant amount of hair on the tops of both my thighs. She came back and did the areas and admitted she forgot to do them the first time around. I left but when I got home I more thoroughly checked the bikini area and was not fully satisfied with the brazilian either. During the brazilian she never had me turn over therefore she didn't do a good job in the back at all. I decided to go back because she is the only place in Austin that I've found that has NuFree. The second time she did have me turn over and I was not doing the legs so I felt sure she did a good job because I was there for so long. Once again when I got home and checked she had missed a large patch of hair in the bikini area. I will not be going back again, unsatisfactory results in an unnecessary amount of time.

Best facial in town!. Robin is wonderful. She will look at your skin and go from there. They have a great facial / massage package that I highly recommend. The spa is decorated beautifully...very relaxing. They have convenient hours. I believe the massages are a full hour unlike the usual 50 minutes you get other places.

Wonderful. I have been looking for a place to get a brazillian wax for a long time,I have found other places but the wax that they used didnt work out for me, when i went into plaza cortez to get waxed i explaned my situation and Robin explaned the type of product that they used and how it would affect my skin, I will never go anywhere but there from now on LOVE IT!!

Very Pleasant Facial. I went to Robin's because I received a free facial from a drawing and decided to get the parafin-dip on my hands and feet, as well. I found both procedure to be wonderfully relaxing and well done. I will admit, I have never had either procedure done before so I have nothing to compare it to, but there were no obvious "oops" that I could tell and Robin was very friendly and gentle. If I were to have one complaint it would be that I had some wax under my fingernails after the hand dip, which could have easily been taken care of with a quick swipe under each nail with an orange stick, but I would consider that a fairly trivial complaint. All in all a wonderful experience I plan to repeat.
