Some people don't have as much common sense as their dogs! No one can be at their best all the time! Lucky Dog is a very good place to take your pet. They care and show it by their service and care of your pet. My Rosie loves their attention! She will keep going back again and again! I strongly recommend them!
Best grooming place in Austin! Kind and friendly staff! They excel in their work and exceed my expectations every time!
Best Pet Groomer. I have been taking my dog to Jeff for at least 7 years (he is now 14) and every time is a great experience he loves the place and likes Jeff a lot. Jeff is great with all the dogs and I would not take my dog anywhere else. Super happy with the service at a very reasonable price can't ask for more.
Best Pet Groomer in town!.
When I moved out to Cedar Park I had a hard time finding a pet groomer that I could trust with my "kids". I had 3 dogs when I moved out here and I treat them like they are my children. I took them to a big chain pet center and left with a couple of bad hair cuts.
I found a local lady that wasn't bad but she kept forgetting to call me to pick up my boys. Not sure how that happens? After trying a few wash-n-go places and a couple more local gals - I happened to be driving down Anderson Mill and saw the cutest little sign for Lucky Dog, so I stopped in and picked up a card. It was the BEST thing I ever did for myself and my dogs.
The prices are very reasonable and I can usually get an appointment within a couple of days. Considering I now have 4 dogs ranging in sizes from a large border collie mix to a small peek-a-poo, that is quite a feat to fit all of them in at one time. I just LOVE Jeff and his staff. Despite the fact that I have a tempermental chihuahua - Jeff has never spoken a bad word about my boys and all of my dogs walk in with for their appointments with ease. I feel like I've not only found groomers for life, but new friends (for me and my 4 dogs). I won't take them anywhere else!
Rude customer service. Have taken my lab here a few times. The only time I was treated politely and in a very professional manner was when I first went there and just dropped in. Didn't realize that I was supposed to make an appointment. The first two times that I dropped off my dog w/no appointment, I was treated fine and worked into the schedule. But, each time after, when I tried to make an appointment they acted like they were doing me a favor by talking to me and could not fit me in for about a week. I still went back for lack of another place to go and the location is great for me. When I went into the building I stood there for more than 5 min. before I was even addressed. Then the groomer came to speak to me and take my dog, acted like they were being put out by having to leave what they were doing to come service me, did not address my dog at all (unfriendly with my dog)... and did leave a small dog on the grooming table tied with no one else in the room. I thought, I'm glad my big lab never has to get up on that table. My dog normally came back looking good, but a couple of times I thought they did not brush him comepletely enough - he was still losing a TON of hair that was just falling off. I would also like to know why, when you bring your dog in at 8am (your appointment time) is he still not ready at 5pm when all you requested was a bath? Been a while since his last bath (maybe a month), thought - wow I really need to get him in. So, today, I called one last time since I still hadn't done the research for a better place and, once again, got the rude treatment on the phone and they can't take me today because they are "kinda booked for the day" and "really booked" on friday. Could not squeeze me in even if I took my dog wet to air dry at home. The person on the phone acted, again, very put out that she was having to talk to me at all. I do think they only have a couple of people working there, maybe they need more or at least a receptionist. I won't be back.
Not good... I took my yorkie here a few months ago based on the good reviews here. Not a great situation in this place- dogs are left on the table unattended while tied to the grooming table, which is so dangerous. My dog's grooming job was..eh..I've seen better- definitely not work $45, and on top of this, they burned her skin with the clippers, which she had to recover from for weeks that was painful and itchy for her. I would not reccommend this place- I am still looking for a good groomer here in Austin.
Great Groomer in Austin. We took our Bichon, Puppy to Lucky Dog Grooming this morning and we couldn't be happier. They said it would take 2 hours, and it did. They called us but we'd already headed up there to get him. When he came out, he was happy as could be and looked Adorable! We will certainly be going back. Oh and the price was very reasonable! Wonderful place!
Bad experience. I took my Shihtzu in when they opened in the morning. I told them explicitly that he had sensitive skin and to try not to burn him or cut him (why is this too much to ask of most of the groomers in this damn town?). Sooo, my girlfriend goes to pick him up around 4:00 (why does it take every groomer 7 hours to groom a dog if it's the first dog in?) and he's covered in feces in a crate someplace in the back. My girlfriend got very, very upset and demanded a rewash by the end of the day. So, they washed him again. She picked him up and of course, he was burned in several places. And they of course you get charged for it. And you don't go back and you try another place and it's the same thing over and over. I've bought some shears and so far I'm doing a better job. The dog doesn't look quite as good but at least he's not in pain when I'm done!
Wonderful Service!. I took my Westie a month ago and they greeted me at the door, spoke playfully to my girl. As another reviewer mentioned, no cuts or close shaves on her which usually occurs on her chest. I love my girl and wouldn't take nor trust her with just anyone.
Best Groomers In Town!. We've been taking our boys, Mac and Winston (mini schnauzers), to Lucky Dog for over 2 years and we are extremely satisfied with the service we receive. Jeff and Courtney are awesome and treat our boys very well. Our boys look great every time we pick them up, smell super good and never have cuts on them. We first started going there because it was close to where were lived but for the last 2yrs. we've been driving from South Austin to take our boys there, it's so worth it. We?ve never had an issue getting the boys in for our Saturday appointments and they are always done within a couple hours, not like other places where you drop your dog off at 7:30 am and pick them up at 6pm! The price is reasonable and the service is EXCELLENT!
