Looking for Lee?. You can find him down the road at Maison de Beaute at the corner of hatch and 620. However all you have to do is call him on his cell to book an appt. at (541)733-3124. He does everything from color to Brazilian Blow Outs. His Brazilian Blow Outs are still $150. Give him a call.

Lee Rodriguez 541-733-3124. GRANITE IS CLOSED, BUT...LEE RODRIGUEZ is back, and is back to doing what he does best...HAIR!! Call him! For me- I missed his professional hair coloring. Its hard to find a stylist that will pay attention to what YOU the client wants. Lee does, and he creates, and he repairs your hair at the same time..He is still in North Austin, off of 620. This Granite salon was closed by the owner without any notice, very unprofessional. But I ran into Lee at the HEB on anderson mill / 620 and got his number. Call him at 541-733-3124, you'll be happy that you did!!!

DO NOT LET ABBY NEAR YOUR EYEBROWS. My mom goes to this salon to get her hair colored, and she usually has a pretty good experience. I had mentioned to her that I wanted to get my eyebrows waxed, and she suggested I go with her to Granite today and get them done while she got her hair colored. Her stylist, Abby, waxed my eyebrows while my mom's hair was setting. I told her that I just wanted them cleaned up--they were too thick near the nose and thinner at the ends, and I just wanted them evened out. After what seemed like a lot of extra waxing and plucking, I looked in the mirror to find that my eyebrows were just about gone. They are pencil thin and unevenly shaped, and I look ridiculous. I am embarrassed to go out in public, frankly. Now I am frantically scouring the internet for ways to fix a bad wax job and encourage eyebrows to grow in faster.

Fantastic Salon. I recently moved here from out of state, and was looking for a hair salon to replace my old stylist, whom i loved. im very particular about my hair, had some bad experiences with stylists not being able to match my shade of blonde. my mom recommended granite to me, she had been going there for a while, and loved Cassie, the stylist she saw. I booked an appointment with Ashley E to get my new growth and a haircut. i walked into the studio, and immediately felt a good vibe. the ladies that work there are all very friendly, i was greeted by everyone, ashley is fantastic, matched my hair color perfectly, and it looks amazing. she cut my very fine and thin hair in a lot of layers, it looks twice as thick and healthy. i would recommend this salon to everyone, all the girls that work there are sweet and know what they are doing.

Not for Blondes!. Being new to Austin I searched far and wide for a good salon that could somewhat replace the one I have been visiting for 10 yrs back home. Granite came highly recommended and was not too far away from our new neighborhood to boot.

First experience was not great but acceptable and they were all super friendly and sweet. So I went back...this time the results were far from acceptable...they were horrible! I looked like a golden retriever! A 3hr appointment grew into 5 hrs as attempts were made to correct the color but in the end I just left fearful of inflicting further damage. My colorist back home repaired the mistake and told me that inexperience was the main reason for the flawed results.

I am not one to complain but I feel it would be unkind to not warn other unsuspecting blondes about this salon's inadequacies. In the meantime I am still searching for the perfect Austin salon....before my roots grow in further! :)

Inexperienced colorist. I went here recently for a color change and was not happy. I had to go somewhere else to get it fixed. To be fair, I did not complain to Granite that I was displeased with my hair color. While still in the salon everyone working there was telling me how great it looked (because they knew it was a disaster?). At first, I thought maybe I just needed time to adjust to the new color, but by the time I got home I realized how horrible it was. I knew it was bad when my husband wouldn't even comment on it. Granite was closed by the time I got home and I didn't feel comfortable letting them try to fix what had been done. I had to go back to my old stylist and she said it was a common "rookie" color mistake. My hair is now ruined from the corrective coloring to fix the problem. On the upside, everyone is friendly at Granite and if you are getting something simple done, this could be the place for you. Leave the trickier color changes to a professional elsewhere.

Best salon EVER!!. I have thick, wavy, sometimes very difficult hair. Because of this, I have worn my hair in a sloppy bun for a huge part of my life. I always felt only "satisfied" with the results from salons I went to. Granite Hair Studio was recommended to me by a friend and my hair has been different ever since. The staff is so friendly, fun, down to earth and hip. They all know exactly what they are doing and it's obvious how great of a team that they are.

I have been to both Chelsea and Ashley S. and they are both fabulous! Both gave me a modern, flattering look and the color is phenomenal! The color is modern yet natural. I now NEVER wear my hair up because it is now manageable and low maintenance with tons of versatility. I can now wear it wavy, curly or straight, depending on my mood.

The entire staff is fun to talk to and the salon is comfortable and welcoming. They are not too expensive as I have paid much more at other salons with sub par results. I love Granite Hair Studio and will never go anywhere else!
