In Short – Located beneath the music-filled Parish, the exposed brick walls and Louisiana-style tin ceiling make this Cajun restaurant suitable for both hungry tourists and downtown business functions. Large windows supply street-level people-watching and the spacious front bar makes room for the happy hour crowd. The menu features upscale versions of traditional Cajun fare with a modern twist including blue crab cakes, seafood bisque served with jalapeno cornbread, peppercorn-crusted ribeye, jambalaya and etouffee, plus fast and affordable lunch options. Kids menu available.
Horrible Do not watse your time
by slademen
i recently went to see a show at the Parishz. The bartenders were rude and i contacted the owner Chad Helton and he had the same negative attitude as well. i wonder where the staff learns their dissrespectful dimeanor towards the customers. If you do not deal well with people why are you in the restuarant bussiness.? i will not waste another penny at a place like this. Customer service is at the bottom this music venues list
- Pros: none
- Cons: bartenders and owners attitude

the owner Chad Helton was completely rude and unwilling to discount my meal. When i had found a hair in the soup. He was overbearing and rude as well as his wait staff.
- Pros: none
- Cons: service and owners disrespect
Don't waste your time, this place is horrible! Bad service, low menu selection, just bad all around

Went here on a Saturday night recently and was highly disappointed.. the place had about 3-4 tables full, the rest of the place was empty or at the bar. it took forever for someone to even acknowledge us and even longer for our wine to arrive. Once it did she just walked away, no info on specials, no asking if we wanted an appetizer.. strange. We flagged her down after 15 more minutes and ordered the crab cakes. They arrived barely warm and soggy. Strike two.. so we ask about the specials and she didn't know of any. ok HU??? She said the menu changed due to a change in chefs so she wasn't sure what was available that night. This was the last we saw of her... I am not kidding. We flagged down another gal who luckily turned about to be the manager. She covered our check and promised things would ne better next time.
Um, no thanks! We'll stay in N Austin at Sambet's....
- Pros: On sixth street
- Cons: Everything else about this place is a con. Particularily the Service!
