Capitol Kia Austin.
Mine & my husband's experience with Capitol started about 4-5 years ago. We were treated with the utmost respect. We did not buy from them at that time however we went there this past weekend. Here is our experience.
As we stepped out of our car we were greeted by a salesman with a big smile and a sincere handshake.
His nickname is Turkey. He is Great!
He asked what we were interested in & showed us a couple of cars. We told him our budget he said I have this other one. It was perfect in every way for us. We were never pressured. Our credit was below excellent but we were still treated with the utmost respect and caring attitude.Once we were approved which only took about 45 minutes we were introduced to the finance manager. He also was wonderful! He explained everything in detail. If we asked questions he re-explained. We were given a great deal & left very satisfied. We will indeed buy our next car from them and we highly reccommend them. Thanks Guys!
I would give it a 0 if I could.
My husband and I had a miserable experience at Capitol Kia 183. They are currently trying to sale their new lease program so they will push and lie and make you wait until you are completely exhausted and flummoxed. We were stupid enough to sign the lease but the next morning we woke up with major buyer’s remorse. Luckily when we went back to complain we realized that the lease paperwork was filled out wrong, with the wrong price listed for APR and the bank could not process it. This forced Capitol Kia to let us out of the contract because they needed a new signature on correctly filled out paperwork. We chose not to sign a new contract. My main complaints are as follows:
1. The salesperson cannot back-up his claims so there is a lot of false information being passed around. We never figured out if it was lack of information which resulted in empty promises on the salespersons part or if it was part of the game to get us into financing...the salesperson promises too much, the financing guy acts shocked and tells us it can't happen, then "talks" with the manager and suddenly makes it happen, then you wait some more and get a different finance guy who tells you again that all of the info was wrong and doesn't give in...by this point you are so worn out because you have been playing this game for hours that you are almost willing to sign your house over just to get out of that place. Needless to say, we stupidly signed the contract that met none of our demands. Then they make you feel like you should be grateful for their service and try to bribe you into giving them high scores on the JD power survey with oil changes, filled gas tanks, i-pod connector cord, etc. and the bad part is that you find yourself agreeing to it…because they somehow work you over that well that you can’t really figure out who exactly is lying. 2. When it was realized that such a big mistake had been made as the wrong numbers on the signed contract which had to be redone, there was never an apology...they just blew off our irritation with the attitude of take it or leave it. So we left it. We left the car that we had driven off the lot 2 days previous and that I absolutely loved and left without a car. That's how much we did not want to do business with Capitol Kia. We will probably buy the same car at a different dealership even though in the end (as we got up to leave) Capitol Kia met our demands, but we were so angry with their customer service that we didn't want to give them the benefit of our purchase. 3. We owned a KIA spectra for 8 years and we loved that car. We have no problem with Kia as a car company; we just would not recommend Capitol Kia. They are very manipulative, they waste your time by "stepping out to talk to the manager" ALOT and leave you sitting for a lot of wasted time. 4. They are trying to sell the lease so hard that they promise you the payment will be much lower per month but that is not correct. We continually asked to see what it would cost if we financed the car instead of lease and it wasn’t until the 3rd day of dealing with them that they finally showed us the financing costs. We made it clear that we would not be able to stay within the mileage as I drive 15000 miles to work every year alone. They kept assuring us that if we bought the car at the end of the 36 month contract we would not be out money but that is impossible. The car would be worth less than the lease contract stated because we would have put around 15000 extra miles on it within 36 months, but to buy the car we would still have to pay the amount that they put at the end of the contract which was over 12k. Plus, there was no benefit for us to lease because it turned out that the cost was about the same to finance or lease... Learn from our mistakes and avoid capitol Kia on 183.
RIP OFF.
These people are snakes! Do NOT trust them with your credit, or anything else for that matter. They tried to overcharge us $6000 on a vehicle. I would walk before I bought a car from these bottom feeders!
DO NOT BUY CARS FROM CAPITOL KIA
THEY RIP PEOPLE OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Go somewhere else! Really these people are less honest than your average car sales-person.. Over priced cars. seriously shop them there prices are about $1500 above what you can find somewhere else. Getting any repairs done through the extended warranty was like pulling teeth. To top it all off the kia spectra that I bought lasted me 10 months and needs a new engine at 78k miles! The warranty does not cover it. If you choose to go in here "Buyer Beware".
