Despite its Warehouse District location, QUA could set a new global standard in hip volcanic island lairs. The enclosed front patio, featuring a babbling brook amidst subdued natural hues, conceals the sunken bar's true colors. Inside, vivid red, burnished gold and pitch-black tones mingle with lush textures and designs. A DJ booth is perched above the transparent dance floor, which reveals frenetic reef sharks and stingrays swimming in the 19,000-gallon pool below the dancing divas.

The DJ was awesome Saturday night but the bartenders were horrible. Not to mention the ditsy cocktail waitress that could not get the tabs right. They add gratuity on everything! I liked the atmosphere but would probably not come back due to overpriced drinks and rude staff.

Me and a friend came over to Texas for a good time, this is the only place that can cater to our expensive tastes.As international money brokers we are used to chic, posh and expensive bars and this totally fitted the bill. Thankfully all the low lifes in flip flops and cowboy boots were not let in. There wasnt a pair of levis in sight! I dont know what most of you austiners expect from a club but you need to make an effort when you go out. Gone are the days when you could frequent the local saloons through swinging wooden doors, chewing tobacco,gun in holster and and order a spirit without a mixer. This is what your city needs. We went with two different crowds on a Thursday and on a Saturday. We had a great time and all our friends enjoyed the nice atmosphere. The DJ is great at keeping the flow of music going and we danced all night long. I think all the bad reviews stemmed from their early opening days. They are settling more into an Austin friendly environment. If you like a nice clean club with great music and no gangster looking wannabe's you'll appreciate the classiness.

Where to Sit:
Call or email in advance to reserve plush, padded, semi-private booths, complete with champagne bottles and ice-filled chilling tables.
Look Good:
Stylish bartenders and staffers look as good as the patrons. Wear crisp, swanky or trendy attire and fit right in.
Know Before You Go:
No 21st birthdays here. The bar's policy states that it will only admit clubgoers who are at least 25 years old.
Fun Fact:
Covered by a three-inch soundproof acrylic dance floor, the underground aquarium is maintained by a room-sized, automated system that recycles the water every 20 minutes.

Not only are you not legally obligated to provide your driver's license number on your credit card bar receipt, you really should decline the request.
