Editorial Review for Fuego – by Tara Hall
In Short
The bright, fiery bar sign decorated in shades of orange and red mimics the lounge's interior, where fireball mosaics back the shelved liquor and a raised firebox burns continuously. Hip 20- and 30-somethings perch on leather barstools, relax in shiny leather club chairs or dance the night away on the spacious rear dance floor where a DJ spins on weekends. If the usual bottled beer isn't your thing, try a dirty martini or mojito, both house specialties.

Insider Tips
ParkingFinding a free parking spot can be a nightmare. Opt for the pay lot ($7) at 3rd and San Jacinto or the parking garage ($7) at 5th and Red River.
When to GoFeel like lying low? Try this bar on a weeknight when the atmosphere is quiet and laid-back. The weekends bring wilder nights riddled with foot traffic.

About a month ago I called to book a party at Tierra del Fuego. While working out arrangements with Magna, the manager, she offered to waive the room fee so that our party could enjoy the space and learn more about the establishment. I was elated! We spoke several times throughout the month about questions I had or to clarify details. Each time I mentioned the date and time of my party. 30 guest RSVP-ed for the event. My party is scheduled for this Saturday (July 26). Today, I called to close out some last minute details and in the middle of our conversation (three days before the party) she told me that she had another larger party with catering and a DJ booked at the same time and that our plan would not work. If I had not called her to ask this question, I would not have known about the double booking. All she could say was that she was sorry and that I could pick a different date (after 30 guests RSVP-ed for that date). I was very disappointed by the way she handled this situation and offered no viable solutions. Now I'm scrambling to find a new location three days before for my party occurs. Go there if you wish, but don't book an event there (or at least get it in writing...learn from my mistake). You're likely to not have a place to have your event.
Pros: Nice Ambiance
Cons: No parking, disappointing service experience

fuego has quickly become my favorite bar to go to, whether i'm with my friends or alone. the bartenders there, aside from being attractive, are super friendly and are quick to give you what you need, even on busy nights. i've had many fun (and funny) conversations with them. :) they're a big reason why i love to go there. also, on wednesdays, they have an awesome dj (casey cuts) and you can go shake your butt on their dance floor in the back. seriously, everyone neds to go check this bar out! i love it!
Pros: great drinks, great staff, great music
Cons: parking is a little rough, but not terrible
