Horrible. Worst service ever!! Bartenders are very rude and drinks are extremely expensive. I was right in front of the bartender and she ignored me for almost half an hour. Obviously I didn't tip her for the horrible service, came home and found out that not only was I overcharged for the drinks they went ahead and added the tip themselves. I left several message no one ever returned the call. For the last ten years I have practically been to every bar in the city and I must say this is has to be the worst experience I ever had.

Will go back for good performers but never for the club. The saving grace for this club was the band. The music was great, but the club had nothing to do with that.

Service was poor, the layout is poor, and drinks are expensive.

However, what really pushed me over the edge was when I got my tab. There was an initial total on my bill and then there was a much higher total below it. I asked the bartender what made my total higher and he said it was just something they do for security. Really? I wonder how many drunk or oblivious people get ripped off by this "security" procedure.

Also, I only ordered one kind of beer but was charged two different prices, half at one price and half at the other. I would have complained but just wanted to get the hell out of that place.

Don't let the website fool you. This place is terrible.

Never Again. Management never returns phone calls and obviously have no communication between each other.

Waitresses are NOT bartenders and should NOT make ANY drinks.

My tab was paid in cash minus $200 to be put on my CC. Waitress informed me that it kept declining. When attempting to head to the ATM to pull out the cash I was harassed by Security, twice. Come to find out the idiot waitress try to run the card for the FULL amount not the $200.

Music was too techno and not what I was informed it would be.

The table Servers did keep up with the table and was the only great thing about the club.

More bad than good... I was initially excited to go here. The music was great and the club looked very fun and exciting. That was where the good ends.

Otherwise, the drinks are very pricey, which is fine if you don't mind. The door staff is so gay in who they "let" in. They try to make it seem like it is crowded by having ppl waiting outside but when we go in, the club is full of old ugly men and very young girls....weird and not very representative of Austin.

Also, if you don't use the bottle service you will never sit down nor have a place to dance. Without a bottle you will stand in a couple spots in the front or very back in a huge, humid, crowd. And a bottle is $275 so come prepared to shell it out!!

The staff is pretty crappy, very young girls in dresses that don't know what they're doing and ego-inflated men that act like they're cops without the actual authority.

Overall, I have been there and had fun before. Though it was a headache getting guy friends inside, I spent nearly $400 buying bottles with friends, and kept getting looked up and down by Creepers...

Pangaea is Awful!. What an awful place. I have been there two times and will never go back. The first time I had horrible service at the bar and almost got caught in the middle of a bar fight at the top of the stairs. Real classy.

The second time my friends and I stopped in for a drink for a birthday party. We had taken our camera since it was a B-day party and I took a photo of the birthday boy. The next thing I know there are bouncers surrouding us telling us to delete the photo and to hand over the camera. The bouncer insisted we were taking a photo of the dancer when we really weren't! They then changed their story from no photos of dancers to no photography inside their bar. In my last 10 years of going to bars and clubs I have never been told we could not take a picture with our friends!! There are no signs posted in this club that tell you no photography allowed. Things then got out of hand and the bouncers from that point on would not even let us leave the bar without handing over the camera. Needless to say the cops ended up getting invoved after we called them and we were then all allowed to leave. My friends and I will NEVER return to Pangaea after being treated like that by the bouncers and the bar manager.

POOR. I will never go back to that place in my life. The drinks are overpiced. The servers are underage and itoxicated. The owners tabe is on snow and smoking cigarettes in the club. The management is spineless. The place has no class, and no business in Austin, Texas. They need to stay in LA and New York.

Uber Pretentious. I think the only positive thing left at this place is the music. I used to enjoy stopping by Pangaea on my regular visits to Austin, but now I think it's become a lame hang-out for too many wannabe "rock stars," which I believe is a result of the discriminating practices by the staff...

The drinks are expensive and weak. The employee dancers look like they're bored. The door man was openly discriminating against asian and black men and hand-picking older white guys and young girls - really creepy. On my last visit, after I was "examined & granted permission to enter," I called the door man on his shadyness & he told me to check the sales! If keepin' it pretentious is Pangaea's goal - congratulations, this place is fake and now has a lot of D-Bags who think they're special for getting in.

boo.. atmosphere is interesting- although it was ruined by the trashy staff, the lame bouncers, and the lonely wanna-be womanizer/pimp owner. The drinks are expensive (1000% markup.) One again, a major turn off is this owner who wants to be something that he isn't, watching this dude made me sick enough that I needed to leave.

Worst Club Ever. The drinks here are overpriced. If you don't get bottle service, it usually takes a while to get a drink from one of the uncouth bartenders. The employees are very unfriendly, and the bouncers tend to act aggressive and idiotic. If you briefly exit the club with the intention of returning, good luck getting back in swiftly or at all. This place reeks of pretentiousness and superficiality, and belongs in Dallas perhaps. Can't wait until it closes down. To sum up, this place is lame.

Worst Club in Austin. If you want to be treated like an "untouchable" after spending $150.00 in one night not to mention the other nights when you had bottle service and spent who knows how much money...then this is the place for you. I had 2 drinks spilled on me in one night by the lady friend of one of the owner/investors of the club yet I still had an exorbitant tab. Not to mention the fact that I'm a "loyal customer" who would pay for the bottle service at this club. If you are looking for a fun time, then come in to this club, spend $10 for a drink and then keep moving along. This club is not Austin nor does it embrace the good manners this city is known for. Make a song request, the DJ will not play it, then move to a better club.
