Normally to see a menu like this you would be at a stuffy, high-end restaurant and the bill would refect this. It was such a pleasure to enjoy such a lovely meal, with great hospitality without breaking the bank. Of course, the wine selection is fabulous. Notable reds from Napa and Walla Walla (so your wine snob friends will be impressed), along with many others so all your guests will be happy. The owner, Reagan, is very accommodating and available to his guests. Overall a memorable experience.
Pros: Excellent value, delicious menu

My husband and I were in town for a work conference, and stumbled across this wine bar on accident. They have the neatest temperature controlled units that display several wines and you can buy a pre-paid card to "self serve" yourself different tastes of many different wines. The wine list was very good and had some of the better Napa, Walla Walla and others included. My husband has a good-sized wine cellar and he was impressed to see a few real gems being served. The bonus was the aboslutely fabulous meal we enjoyed. The owner, Regan, told us that the executive chef worked/trained with Bobby Flay. We bought the 4-course meal for only $32 and each course was amazing. I've never had such delectable ceviche, and the arugla salad with candied bacon is something I want to try at home. My husband couldn't believe how tender and flavorful his pork belly entree was (the menu was really interesting!). You could easily drop into this place just to sample wines and get a cheese plate (we did and it's delicious ) and/or stay for a meal. We hope Regan and his wife have great success with this new restaurant, and we'll absolutely go back if our travels take us to Austin. Regan is a former engineer and his wife, a teacher, so it's great to have such young, energetic folks contributing to excellent dining experiences!
