I went to 3 Graces for a photofacial treatment. I have had photofacials many times at several other places, so I had a pretty good idea of what to expect (it DOES hurt!). However, I have NEVER before had huge red welts that take weeks to heal like I did after that treatment. I mentioned to the aesthetician that I have very sensitive skin and rosacea, and that lower settings usually give me good results. She insisted I would not get good results unless she set it on the highest setting. Not only did it hurt more than usual, but I felt like some areas got treated more than once and other areas were missed. I had red lines on my skin when I left but she said they would fade. Except for a couple very large raised areas, they did go away. I could not even hide the red spots with make-up. Everyone was asking "what happened to you?". I was really worried about scarring, but luckily the red spots went away completely after several weeks. I will never go back to 3 Graces for any service after this experience.
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Never go
here. Due to an emergency, I could not make my appointment. Out of curiosity, I called the office to let them know that I would try to make it, but unfortunately probably would not be able to do so. Then I call Three Graces a few days later to reschedule they want to charge me a noshow fee. They claimed I had never called to let them know I wouldn’t make it. I asked to speak to a manger and was told one would call me back asap.
A few minutes later, someone else called me from the spa and told me I was lying and that I was responsible for getting her in trouble with her office because she has no record I ever called. A few days later, when the manager called she told me I both never called to let them know I wouldn’t make my appointment AND that no one from her office would ever call and tell a client they had lied and gotten them in trouble. What a terrible experience. They have no respect for their customers and the staff is all very rude. I would never spend a penny here.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Avoid this place!.
The Short Story: They took my money and messed up my face with Botox and did not honor a refund of any kind. I will have to live with their mistakes for the next 3 months until I can shell out another $350 to a REAL Doctor for Botox done properly. Oh and when I said that I would be letting others know about this experience, the owner Samea let me know on the phone "OH KARMA GOES BOTH WAYS ... WE HAVE PICTURES OF YOU". BEWARE OF THIS PLACE!
The Long Story
I purchased a LivingSocial coupon for Botox. When I arrived, I was upsold more Botox for additional money ($215 or so extra)
I gave the technician, Michelle Young, explicit instructions on what I typically have done, which is to raise my brows. She injected my face with around 40 units.
Two days later, my eyebrows fell so much so that the natural arch was GONE, my lids were hooded and heavy and my head ached. I called pleading for help and she told me that she wouldn't see me in any less than 7 days. I had to go 6 days with huge headaches and flu symptoms, ruining my spring break with my daughter. When I returned, the same woman INSISTED that I looked "GREAT" and put two more shots to lift my brows.
And so here I am, with eyebrows straight across, looking tired / exhausted, daily headaches, worse than when I started and at a loss of $350.
Then, I tried to settle with Samea, the owner and she insisted also that I look great and that things like Botox cost her money and that she can't give me a refund since she has operating costs. She then had the audacity to offer me MORE SERVICES. Are you kidding me? I wouldn't let them groom my dog let alone me, considering the Citysearch reviews, reviews on Yelp, and the revocation of the Better business bureau website and others, etc.
Fortunately LivingSocial honored a refund for their part. so I recovered part of my money. However, I have to live with their horrible work for the next few months.
Very Nice Spa. I received a deep tissue massage. It was a very nice, relaxing environment. The staff are very professional and it was an overall ver nice experience. I gave it only four stars, though, because the massage that I received wasn't the best in that the lady who did it focused a bit too much on the outside of my back, rather than along the central part along the spine where the muscles tend to get the most tense. However, I will still be back, I will just make sure to specify before the massage.
Bad Experience with Microdermabrasion. I didn't have a good experience at this spa. I was using a Living Social coupon for a microdermabrasion. I had had one of these before at another spa and loved the feel of my face afterward, but felt the niggling of premonition upon reading all of the Informed Consent materials about scaring, etc. I talked to the technician about my concerns and she said she didn't think it would be a problem. The process felt like she was rubbing my face off and several times I mentioned she was hurting me. I felt bruised and beat up at the end of this work. I ended up with scabbing on my chin, temples and forehead, with the temple area leaving a scar. Be forewarned!
Love this Spa!!!. My daughter gave me a facial for my 55th birthday. It was a truly wonderful relaxing facial. In fact, when I finally got up, my knees were weak and I was a bit disoriented as it was so completely relaxing. I will definitely recommend the spa and will return the favor to my daughter for her birthday.
I am just so disappointed. I went in for a living social deal I purchased when I call they were very nice and got me in within a few weeks, the day of my appointment I received a call say the person doing my service had called in sick, totally understandable and they reschudelded me for the following week. I went in and arrived 10 min early since I knew I would need to fill out some papers. The massage therapist was very nice and started the body scrub it felt good and smelled amazing it didn't last very long, I rinsed off and the massage was very nice she really worked on all of my problem areas. We talked a bit during the massage and I mentioned I was an esthetician and she asked me how long my schooling was..... Then she started to do my facial..... Or what they considered a facial. I couldn't believe they were having someone who isn't liscenced to preform their services...... I'm going to be asking living social for a refund. They had me out of there in an hour and a half and I felt like because I was a full price paying client they didn't think I deserved to be treated like a client at all. I wont be returning and hope they see how unhappy they have made potential long term clients.
Best Botox Ever!. I'm not one to post reviews, but my experience with 3 Graces has been too wonderful not to comment. Firstly, I've been twice (using Living Social deals). NEVER a long wait time and they are VERY quick to accommodate my schedule for setting appointments. That is appreciated! I'm from Houston and have had Botox before ... NOT a good experience ... but here, with Michelle Young, easy, painless, effective and no redness or soreness afterward. The "in and out" is amazing. Barely a dent in a busy day! I can't speak for any other of the aestheticians, but I will continue my Botox with Michelle Young for as long as she is there! One extra note: They carry Eminence Organic skin care products. That's all I use and I'm thrilled to have a local source for them. Thank you to 3 Graces, who have gone the extra mile to help me!
Horrible, Don't Go Here!. What a rip off, went in for a body scrub and massage and the place was dirty and tackily decorated. The sheets on the table had stains and tons of holes, there was dust everywhere, the the ceiling was disgusting and falling apart. The "spa" was in the back of an office building. The scrub consisted of me laying on a table while the employee poured cheap lotion on my body and brushed a very hard bristle brush on the top of my legs, then a rickity steam tent with burning steam sat on me for about 15 min. The locker room was small and dirty, and there were used Qtips in some of the lockers. The massage was okay but it didn't make up for the rest of the experience. Will not be returning, even if they offered their services for free.
3 GRACES IS NO GOOD!. No good! They try to up sell you and personally I thought the employee who administered my botox was stuck up! She seemed completely annoyed with her job. I will never go back! There are many places in Austin who do a much better job! TWO THUMBS DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
