Tips for The Applied Kinesiology Center - Dr. Kieran Kuykendall DC

I had a good experience. The doc seems to genuinely care about people and he did a treatment that seemed odd at the time, but worked wonders! I see the below comments about scheduling and front desk and can't disagree. But hey, no one's perfect!

Well, I went for back issues and he helped me with some emotional stuff that I wasn't even aware of - that was great! But I did get the impression from the staff that this was more like a regular doctor's office where you wait on their schedule. That's what most doctors do right? They don't care about our time or what we are doing.

I had a similar experience - made me wait 20 minutes; next time 30 minutes; next time only 5!; next time 60 minutes and a "well sometimes we get backed up...." I mean really, that last person took 60 minutes? I wouldn't harp on this as much if: a. that receptionist with the attitude would just call and let me know he was running late and b. not try to charge me for being late. That part is uncool. Otherwise, he has some serious mojo.

He has talent - that's for sure. The challenge is respect for clients. I waited one day for 90 minutes. He seems to feel he can take on other patients and move you back 30-90 minutes without so much as a call or an attempt to make it work. I'm busy too Dr. K!

One time I was 10 minutes late and I called saying I would be about 20 minutes late total. The receptionist, who seemed to enjoy this, told me it was too late and then charged my card for the appointment. I turned around and drove home. This despite the fact that they usually run 20-30 minutes late!

I feel that Dr. K thinks it's okay to make me wait and abuse my time and good intentions. If he fixed that, it would be a lot more comfortable to visit him. I wish I could get treatment there, but I live too far away to waste hours waiting or not even getting seen.

I started seeing Dr. K about a month ago for digestive problems & can not believe the HUGE results I've seen already. Through his help & my determination to get better, I would say I'm on a healing path to recovery & rejuvenation. My wellness started with a much needed phone call & the most pleasant person, Leann Dr. K's front office specialist, answered & put me @ ease right away. She has been amazing in talking me off the ledge with my struggles through the first few weeks & always happily smiling when I come for my visits.

Of course in the process of getting my gastro issues in check, I injured myself exercising. Dr. K has been working wonders with my shoulder/clavical pain. Thank you to the both of you for making me feel a million times better.

It is with great pleasure that I recommend, with no hesitation, and instead, an unflinching endorsement, Dr. K. Without a doubt, he has given my at least another decade in all of the good he has done for me and my sixty year old body. In the last year, Dr. K. has taught me about my eating habits and they were killing me. Last fall, I was pre- cancer, pre- heart disease and diverted me from an early grave. Since I began seeing Dr. K, he has taught me how to lower my cholesterol, reshaped my toes so they look normal and do not cripple my feet, loosened my jaw, and encouraged me to lead a healthy life. I always leave his office feeling much better than when I went in. He treats the “whole of me” and it is a wonderful change to be in the hands of a healer who helps others through his muscle testing and subsequent adjustments. If you want to get well, come see Dr. K.

I went to Dr. Kuykendall referred by a friend. He is the best Dr. I have ever seen. I have different medical conditions and have seen a lot of doctors and none of them could tell me why I was so sick. He checked me for everything and knew where to start. He explains you everything and he is very professional. I highly recommend him, he is great. It is not expensive if you don't have insurance. You will feel and see the difference.

I went to Dr. K about 2 months ago with persistent pain under my right diaphram. He diagnosed the problem as gall bladder and prescribed a supplement (Beta plus) that improves liver/gall bladder function in addition to fat digestion. He also adjusted my diaphragm which had separated due to the pressure from my gall bladder. This approach greatly eased the symptoms and we are working on a more permanent cure. I greatly appreciate Dr. K's naturalistic and holistic approach. Prior to my visit with him, I had consulted a traditional medical doctor, who had numerous tests run (urinalysis, blood work, ultrasound of lower right quadrant) and found nothing wrong. It was a great relief to experience improvement after one session with Dr. K. Jan M

Dr. Kuykendall is like having many physicians rolled into one. As an 81-year-old woman, I have relied on him for several years to relieve back, joint and muscle pain - as well as for advice on nutrition and healthy living.

After nearly a year of seeing western medicine doctors that told me my issues were all in my head, I found Dr. K. on Angie's list and thought I would give him a try. Smart move on my part. He has done more good for me with diet, adjustments and generally caring for my whole well being than any of the doctors before him. He is so patient and kind and has kept working with me to get to the root cause of my problems. We are making good progress and I feel about 75% normal. The last 25% is just going to take time and patience on my part to allow my body to heal. He says I am a very complicated patient, but he is learning from working with me so that he can help other patients with similar problems. Wish me luck with the last 25%, but I know I am in good hands with Dr. K.
