Beyond Tradition

Astounding quality and service. I was in a real fix when a jeweler I had contracted for an engagement ring flaked on me after months of assuring me the ring would be ready by Christmas. I went into Beyond Tradition on a prayer. I explained my situation to the owners and they immediately recommended an artist who surpassed all my wildest dreams as far as quality (a certified master goldsmith from Germany), and personal care (he had the ring ready in a week, three days before Christmas). This is the kind of quality and professionalism that Beyond Traditions represents and brings to the public.

As a side note, the jeweler that took my deposit and did nothing for several months but lead me on has work displayed at a neighboring 2nd St. jewelry store. Until now I had no idea the major differences that exists between each boutique in the downtown area. Some stores carry nice things while other stores carry exceptional artistry and accountability. Beyond Tradition is certainly a store of the second variety and I recommend stopping in, at the very least to see some of the finest quality jewelry in Austin, made by local artists.…

Unique and affordable designer jewelry!. Really great store, owner Kappi Bliss, is so easy to love. She really knows how to pick unique and true artists to be represented in her store. I recently went to one of your great jewelry cocktail hours (get on her mailing list for these!! you don't want to miss them!) and I bought an awesome and unique bracelet by local Austin designer Sarah Scott, the bracelet is made with actual Chanel Chains that Sarah got from the old Chanel Warehouses! Is that not so Austin! It is truly a great piece and I love telling the story behind it. Thats just part of what makes this store so cool. Not to mention I love buying local and supporting other Austin small business owners! Kappi, also has some of the most beautiful turquoise and semi precious stone jewelry you will ever see. She also has a great line from Italy, that will really impress you (truly some of the most ornate and detailed metal designed jewelry I have ever seen) I mean take your breath away beautiful. If you want unique and conversational pieces, at affordable - dont break the bank prices. This is the local Austin store you need to check out! I stop by whenever I'm downtown, just to see what new pieces Kappi has brought in!…
