Good Outdoor Patio, Slow Sevice!.
I made my first visit to this neighborhood bar recently and enjoyed the outdoor patio seating. Also, the bathroom stalls include a chalkboard and chalk, a unique addition. On the downside, the service was extremely slow. One of the bartenders was new and struggled to complete orders, leaving all of the customers to his one co-worker.

Best patio in Austin. Situated just off of Cameron Rd, on Corona. Nomad has a huge mostly covered patio, great beer selection and all the wine and liquor you could possibly want. This place is a must for anyone on the upper east side.
good neighborhood bar, but be careful with your credit card. The wife, a friend, and I sat outside to get away from the Wednesday night "comedy" thing going on inside. 3 beers and 2 vodkas later, I forgot to sign for my card that was open at the bar. I walked in not 24 hours later and they added $6.00 tip and say 20% is standard. First, 20% would be an additional $4.80, and second, I guess they forgot to count any cash tip I left. I don't have a problem so to speak, may go back, but I am likely to check out some other bars first.
Nice Vibe. My brother and I stopped in last Sunday for a few drinks. It was the second time I had been to Nomad, and I had a great time, the atmoshere was laid-back, didn't stay long but I did have the best Tequila Sunrise of my life!!! The bartender was friendly.
Great neighborhood bar. This place is one of all too few real neighborhood bars in Austin. Friendly, great drinks, easy parking, the owner Miguel is really cool. Great place to go with friends, or make new ones. Also good food, so I hear.
Much-needed Cameron Road corridor bar boasts a modern vibe and laid-back neighborhood atmosphere..
In Short
The front door is just a tall fence away from a blindingly bright gas station, but once inside, the glossy concrete interior dispels any possible doubts. Take a seat at the bar or one of the lounge tables inside or head to the ample covered patio for the choicest seats. A respectable wine list features plenty of by-the-glass offerings plus an expanding menu that includes freshly made empanadas. Free Wi-Fi and local live bands round out the offerings.
