GREAT PLACE! $7 for a haircut with shampoo and blowdry=GREAT DEAL! Everyone is so professional you fell like you are in a real salon can't even tell is a beauty school, the students are very knowledgeable. TOTALLY RECOMMENDED!

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Got highligths done by Karina she is the BEST!!! and a facial by Lena. Everyone is so nice and professional. The facial was AMAZING and I got a really great massage out of it too. The manager is Wonderful always with a smile making sure everyone is been taking care of. Really great for girls day! Definitely would recommend to anyone!!!BEST PLACE IN AUSTIN WITH THE CHEAPEST PRICES THAT ARE UNHEARD OF!!!

AWESOME PLACE!!!!. I have been going to this place for almost 2 years now. Their prices are vey inexpensive. I enjoy going there to get my hair, nails and facials done, the manager is always welcoming everyone with a smile and makes sure everyone is taking care of. The students are professional, Cierra is really good for color, Daisy gives the best facials!!!!

Best Beauty School in Town!!!. Hi I just want to recommend Nuvani to everybody that is looking to change a career and is interesting in the beauty industry, I went to Nuvani from March 10,08 and recently graduated, my experience at Nuvani was great I learn everything I need it to know to pass my state board with a 99%, not only that but I had the best instructor Courtney, she make sure I was ready to work in a salon,the firts time I had a client I was really scare but my instructor was next to me and she never left me bymyself she showed me what to do and whithing 60 min I was done Thank you Cortney you rock!, I got a job before my graduation date and now I am so grateful that I choose Nuvani as my training school, there may be things that I didn't agree with, but that is part of life, they always make sure i had Clients to work on so I could be ready to go out and be the best I can be...Nuvani Institute-North is the best school ever!and I Highly Recommended.

Perfect for young kid parties. I spent less than $200 having 11 girls have their makeup and updos done here. The people there were very nice and we were able to get it done on Saturday. I would highly recommend this place for quincieneras or little girl parties if you not in the mood to spend alot for a special occasion.

bad. this place was horrible! I've been in there a couple of times and the first time I was there the Pedicure Chairs were broken and the instructor was no where to be found the facial instructor was there but she "knew nothing about hair or nails" as she said so herself! The students where very professional but they were pretty much the only professional people in the school. Not only were the chairs broken, but they had also over booked the chairs! It was not worth the money, and I don't see how this place is running leagally!

In my 4 years as the owner of this beauty school, for a dissatisfied customer tell me my STUDENTS are more professional than my STAFF is a complement. Thank you for that! That's why we're an education facility rather than a "money making business".
First of all, I appologize for the inconvenience. We are open from 10 am to 4 pm and currently we use 3 platino pedicure chairs (made by European Touch) to service our group of nail clients. There have been incidents where one chair have failed to work properly and clients must be rescheduled because the client cannot be accomodated on the occupied chair or fully booked appointments. HOWEVER, it is our policy that your next service is FREE OF CHARGE and we do our best given the 3 days call ahead, lead time for nail services to fit you in.
Perhaps you may try our Professional Salon Studio & Spa where we charge a little more & may fit your needs without the chaos... 512-782-9529

Awsome highlights!.
I was upset because of the scheduling problem or one of the student not showing up for me, which I booked 5 days in advance. I had to wait 30 minutes before they started on me! The instructor or receptionist did the best they can to get me taken care of. The place didn't have enough chairs for waiting ppl to sit in. There was too much to nick pick....
but let's be honest, the girl that did my hair was awesome! skill = 10, fast = 8, result = 10. I left her a $20 tip, that's how much I loved it! She gave me a dark colored on the bottom and light on the top with slanted packets. I think it's still called highlights, whatever it was, I love it! I also had facials, wax, and the back treatment - all of these service I recommend for the value! The manicure was okay b/c the guy took forever and you can tell he was new.
Okay? Best part? only paid $114 for everything. Not bad for a full day of service eh?

Despite the wait, I'm glad you are happy with the result. Please keep in mind that we have 2 levels of service, the student in training and the students that are about to graduate. I'm guessing you received a student that is on the verge on graduating.
We typically see anywhere from 40 to 60 clients a day and scheduling problem may arise from several scenarios: prolonged service time, late setup, clients coming late, the domino effect, ETC. My job is to minimize and identify potential downtime so the beauty can operate efficiently and effectively.
Noise will always be a given despite the numbers of clients AND students in one building. Our overhead music is not regulated for any type of genre or like/dislike of asong.
Nuvani Institute have a contracted Janitor to service and maintain our facility. At all times, an autoclave is present to sterilize implements and all linens are thoroughly sanitized.
