AWESOME place for alterations!!!

I researched many alteration stores before finally deciding on Classy Concepts. I was VERY nervous about handing my lace wedding dress over to a stranger, but all my doubts faded when I walked into the store and met the staff. They are fabulous and I can't say enough about Sue's talents. She took the time to listen to what I wanted and also helped educate me on the techniques it would take to get the job done. Her style is very consultative, which made me feel special and not just like another customer.

I asked her to change the sleeves on my dress and hem it about 1 inch. This was all very difficult given that my entire dress was lace! But she exceeded all of my expectations and then some! She also did my bustle (which I LOVE) and did some other minor adjustments.

This was all done for a VERY affordable price, which was also a nice plus.

Other than their skill, the staff are wonderful people! They were very attentive and made it a priority to make sure I was happy. I honestly could not have made a better decision than hiring them to alter my wedding dress. I would have no reservations recommending them to anyone. Thanks Classy Concepts for a wonderful experience and for my BEAUTIFUL wedding dress!

Awesome Alterations Prices and Service!

My grandmother has sewn for as long as I have been alive. She has some health issues and was so sad she could not do my wedding gown alterations. Well, I went to Alfred Angelo and you would think you would get a discount for getting your alterations done at the same place as you bought a gown, but no way. Alfred Angelo was so expensive and a friend told me about this place. I knew I could trust them with my gown becuase of my friend who raved about the work they did on her gown.

I just want to say that not only are the staff and owner very down to Earth and helpful, but I felt so welcomed and pampered all the time I was there. I had to have a complete redo on my lace gown becuase the jerks at Alfred Angelo ordered my dress too big (another story) and I was expecting a huge tab at Classy Concepts.

The owner did one of my fittings and another lady did the initial fitting, but my grandma went with me to the 2nd fitting after the alterations were done and was so impressed with the quality of their work too! I have no clue about sewing (wish I did!) and for my GRANDMA to give such thumbs up... I had to make sure I gave credit to such a wonderful store. Oh, and they RENT TOO!! Wish I had known... totally would not have bought this dress I now have in the closet.

Maybe okay for the everyday item, but not your gown!

After doing extensive research I finally decided on Classy Concepts to do the alterations for my bridal gown, even though I the drive was far for me.

From my first visit they were extremely nice and friendly as well as accommodating. Perhaps this was why I put so much trust in them. Before my last visit there seemed to be quite a bit of confusion about the status of my dress, once I was assured my gown was ready I came in to pick it up. I quickly tried it on and it seemed to be okay, not perfect but I didn't have time for perfect this was a week before the wedding! (the gown had been there for 2 months at this point) Once I got home I decided to try on the gown with all the elements .... this is when I noticed the lace was FALLING OFF!!! I began to look closer and noticed the stitching was quite noticeable both because the lace was poorly stitched and the thread was the wrong color in some areas. I'm not sure if they just didn't finish or the craftsman ship was just bad, but I wouldn't trust them with anything of mine.

I then contacted the owner and she seemed less than concerned or apologetic about it.

So my advice would be if you're having your pants hemmed and it's just around the corner I'm sure it will be just fine. If you have something more intricate or important maybe you should try some where else.
