For some reason, after reading the publicity about the store and hearing about it, I thought it was going to be different. I was shocked. I've been on a bike since a tiny kid and racing since the mid 80s. Well, I expected Lance's new shop, since he's got his fame and fortune, to give back to the cycling community. Most of the cyclists I know have tight budgets and some don't even have a car or crappy ones if they do. They love cycling but don't have a lot of money, they are true die hard cyclists (not some guy who buys an expensive bike that sicks in his garage.) And they are always riding, commuting or having fun on a bike. So I go into Lance's store and let me just say, that if you don't live in Westlake or have a Mansion on the lake somewhere or you live in a fancy gated community, you won't be able to shop there. What the heck Lance? I guess you were never poor. Don't you have enough money now? Stuff in your store was priced even more than the suggested retail prices. I don't get it. Way to make a shop for rich people and kick the real cyclists in the nads. We work all day and get our balz busted and just want to go ride, and then we think we have a store that caters to us real cyclists and no! another kick for us, Lance. Way to go buddy. I expected a "real" grass roots bike store that loved real cyclists, I was utterly disappointed.
Pros: Heard there are going to be showers for commuters, hopefully free or cheap
Cons: Real cyclists can't afford to shop there.
