Amazing Neighborhood Bar in Downtown Austin.
Shiner's Saloon has the friendliest and best bartenders. Even the owners bartend here. You know its good when the owners are working there too. Every time I am there, which is often, I feel like I am
at home. They have live music every night.
They have great specials like :
-On Wednesdays, they have $1 whiskey .
-On Fridays they have $3 Skyy Vodka and $4 Forty Creek Whisky
-Almost every day they have $2.75 domestic drafts and $3.25 premium drafts.
For all of those Shiner fans, they consider Shiner Beers as domestic. I have never seen another bar consider Shiner a domestic. 3 cheers (or beers) for that. Not only is Shiner sold at a domestic price, but they have all of the Shiner beers on draft, including the seasonal and anniversary!!!
This is a great sports bar also. They have many TVs and a drop down big screen. It is a Pittsburgh Steelers bar, but they will play all other televised games. Great fun place for the Super Bowl. I went in on a Sunday and ended up staying all day. The beer prices were great and the $1 Slider's make it impossible to leave, with their peppery delicious beef and oozing homemade queso.
The food is bar food that refuses to be bar food. From the avocado sub to veggie or brisket tacos to nachos and homemade kolaches, you just can't order a bad meal from them. Plus, I was there late on a Friday and found out that they sell $2 breakfast tacos after 2am downstairs on the street.
These guys are great people and always provide a great time. If you want excellent laid back service, great food and amazingly cheap drinks, head to here. You won't be disappointed.…
LAME!!. Well every time i have gone in here there isn't anyone there! Just an empty bar with bad service, all in all this place is lame........ would not recommend!!!!!

A hidden gem!. Wow...everything about Shiner's Saloon (not salon) is perfect. From the intimate atmosphere to the variety of food to the terrific drink specials to an extremely friendly waitstaff. It's a fantastic happy hour spot as well as a very accomodating place to hold an event. The owners had a dream of opening their own bar and now we are reaping the benefits. Great job guys!…
The little touches make this place. I've been to Shiner's Saloon on multiple occasions - a few times at night and a few times to watch football games. They have several big TV's and plenty of chairs and tables to sit at. I love their decor and heavy ranch-y style chairs...but my favorite part about this place is the hooks underneath the bar for your purse!! That is a HUGE plus for girls. The bar menu is unique with a Texan flair - I love the "quesadillas" with brisket in them and they even give you a side of BBQ sauce to dip them in.…
