Austin's Best Pizza

by AustinCrtitic at Citysearch

Best pizza, best prices love the gelato. We've been to Tony C's dozens of times and always enjoy the food.

Disappointing

by Fred foodie at Citysearch

Our family was disappointed by the staff and also the quality of food at Tony C's. First, the hostess refused to sit us a table we requested (it remained empty the entire time we ate dinner.) We ordered the Margherita pizza, but found the tomatoes on the pizza without flavor, the quality of the cheese was questionable and the crust was a also a bit soggy. It was far from "authentic" New York style pizza- If you want great pizza in Austin, go to Home Slice- it cant be beat!

5 Stars for Authentic Pizza

by 512ATX at Citysearch

Tony C knows what pizza was meant to be. For those of us who have traveled around the world, this is as close to the authentic design as you will find outside of New York or Naples. I recommend the original Margherita, commonly spelled Margarita these days. The crust is crisp and the pizza is hot and flavorful. Although Tony's sells pizza by the slice, there is nothing like ordering an entire fresh pie! The home made caesar salad is solid and the atmosphere is friendly, including an indoor/outdoor bar and cafe style patio facing the Cinemark Theatre and Galleria Shops. Go to Tony C's and he will make a pizza you can't refuse! Buon Appetito! -AP-

pizza

by joyce goza at Citysearch

This is absolutely the best pizza in Texas. The crust is thin, light and crispy, and the choices for toppings are abundant. This pizza compares to Lombardi's in NYC!!!!! The Garlic knots are also wonderful and reheat well at home. The manager, Mark, was so gracious as well as his staff. All seem to be a "real team". There were 4 of us and all of us raved about this restaurant. Thanks to Dr. Rob Balon that we heard about it and drove over 70 miles to get there.Absolutely excellent...

Great Pizza

by Drifty at Citysearch

Service is decent. Bartender could use a personality. Staff has always been pleasant, but most of the time we pick up and take home.

  • Pros: Decent wine list, solid pizza take out
  • Cons: parking for take out is a trick - need one dedicated spot
