Great food

I live in the neighborhood and I am confused by some of the negative reviews. I say this because this place is one of 4-5 natural organic places in Austin and we are lucky that it is in our neighborhood. I would expect this place to be more expensive that Waterloo since it is natural and organic. I have come to discover that they are about the same price. May be $.50-$.75 more on similar items, but they are giving us a lot of natural or organic food, compared to the hormone and antibiotic injected garbage their competition is handing out. I go there with my family all the time and the food is always fresh and fantastic. The owners are always there and have taken care of us. The service is sometimes just OK, then again, they have not been around for long. I hope they don’t go out of business since the closest natural organic place will be Whole Pay Check down town. If you want to see expensive, that is the place to go, and you are getting no service there at all. Let’s support these guys. After all, it is our community that will lose something if there are no natural organic places around.
- Pros: Great food
- Cons: OK service
OVER PRICED FOR NATURAL

My husband and I drove up to visit our daughter, son in law , and granddaughter. They took us to this restaurant claiming how great it is. We were impressed with the relaxing atmosphere, but our experience went downhill when we ordered margaritas and were told a few minutes later that they will be shutting down the bar in days to come; no more mixed drinks. We could still order beer or wine. We just wanted one margarita after the congested drive up Hwy 35. Then the appetizer arrived: WOW: Razor thin slices of cheese and mini bite sized pieces of fruit in a small cup along with maybe 5 small rounds of bread- all for an "Off the Planet" price. Maybe that is why it is called the Mars Plate. The rest of our meal was OK. Again the portions were skimpy. Our daughter commented how the portions seemed a lot smaller than times before. All of this for 4 adults and a toddler cost well over $75.00! The service was not even mediocre. Are they getting ready to go under? Sorry to say.... we will not return.
- Pros: Nice atmosphere
- Cons: WAY OVERPRICED FOR PORTIONS AND QUALITY
Lousy!!!

I gave this place two chances to impress me because I wanted it to be good. It was downright over-priced garbage. My salad was a bag of limp spinach that someone dumped on a plate with a few pecans and a preformed fake chicken breast on top! For them to charge me 9 bucks for that is ridiculous. And they charge 6.99 for a kids plate. The chicken strips were so fake and greasy that my son wouldnt eat them. I tried one and had to launch it out of my mouth. And then they dump a pound of salt and pepper on the fries on the kids plate! Kids dont like pepper!!! Get a clue!!! This place will not last another year without going into huge debt because very few people are going there anymore. I should have turned and walked away when I arrived at 6 pm and no one was inside eating!!! By the way, there is NOOOOOOO way that chicken was "natural"!!!!!
- Pros: None
- Cons: Way over-priced!!!
