Horrible Service, Really over price food!!!. The only two exiting things about Maria Maria are: the nice Website and Its owned by Santana. After that I thing that the experience that I had there was really bad. I had a horrible service and the food was cold when served. Also the flavors was not the best, you could eat in 1000s of places in Austin better for half the money. Really overprice for what it is.

New Ringer. Good cake for birthday boy, free. Certain entrees were boring even though the waiter was timely. Carlos was not here but the bad newsroom bank acoustic sounds kept the drinks flowing and woman happy.

Horrible Service. We had a huge group that got together and wanted to eat here on a Sunday night. I do understand that huge parties take a lot of effort on the part of the waitstaff, but that is also a reason they add gratuity. They failed to inform us that the kitchen was closing down so half of our party had to order off a tapas menu. Not a huge problem, but if we would have known we could have ordered from the full menu for those who weren't there yet. Then at the end of the night, we asked for our checks. The waitress dropped off 1 bill and told us to divide it ourselves. Please tell me how to divide grautity 20+ ways. So a girl at the table asked for the manager. He sent the waitress back over and she said...full of attitude mind you..."So how do I do this?"...yeah, that was our point. She didn't have anything written down of who had what. So the girl that asked to speak to the manager actually took the bill back and manually went around asking who had what and dividing the check. Then she had to go to the computer and show the other waiter how to divide it because he didn't understand Proceeding that, she had to bring all of us our cc slips and change because our waitress never came back....and what about the manager you may ask? He walked by and saw our friend doing the job of his employees....and never stopped. He didn't ask if everything was good, if we needed help...nothing. We asked for our bill at 9:45 pm...and walked out the door at 11:05 pm. There is a serious issue here and I can guarantee we won't be back.

Awful! Avoid at all Cost!. Service was beyond slow. we arrived at 7 and didn't get drinks til 8 - it wasn't busy - a tuesday night. We didn't get served til after 9.

drinks were sour and putrid. the food is pre-packaged, so no chef in the back is actually putting your food together. salsa lacked any flavor, chips were from the store, beef enchaladas were bland. The architecture and ambiance was off balance - look closely at the wall cut-outs where the candles are ;)

Did i mention service was slow. oh and the lime pie dessert tasted like eagle brand.

Avoid this place and save your money and time.

Love, love, loooove this place!. We took a group here for a business dinner. I honestly had only modest expectations for this place, but it was a smashing success with the group! (phew!)

The drinks were great - perfectly stout! The food was amazing - braised ribs, enchiladas, guacamole, etc., etc. In fact, everyone raved so much about their dish, we ended up passing them all around to enjoy!

I picked Thursday night so the group could hear some live music, and when I made the reservation, the hostess assured me that this happened every Thursday. I was disappointed when we got there - no live music! At least the atmosphere was chic and the music playing was still good.

I recommend this place highly! A++++

Love The Bar. They have a great selection of mixed drinks and beers - both local and domestic. All the drinks on the drink list rock.

Carlos Santanas Restaurant. Went to the opening and couldn't believe that Carlos Santana came to the opening of the restaurant. Points for that!

Hot Spot For Ladies Night. I've never seen so many great looking people in my life. This place has so many beautiful people at the bar it's unbelievable.

Like night and day. What a transformation... the place is beautiful now and the restaurant looks great. It really is like night and day.
