My husband and I lovingly call Cover 3 a "frat boy country club," because that's precisely what it is: a high-ceiling, wooden, vaguely commercialy sports bar with enormous TV's and enormous serving portions. We happily watched the 2012 Olympics here, and dare I say I wouldn't watch live sports anywhere else.
Much nicer than your ordinary sports bar, Cover 3 is a nice restaurant with a fully stocked bar that just happens to have flat screen TVs surrounding you on all sides. Cover 3 serves brunch on the weekends and has a Bloody Mary bar. Also, the burgers are ranked among the best in Texas by Texas Monthly
Cover 3 – Hip decor, big screens a-plenty and a varied menu make this a great spot to watch a game, or to grab lunch with friends.
Disappointed! – My officestaff went to Cover 3 after work for happy hour last week. The food was fair at best. My quesadillas were nothing special. I ordered the Carrie's Cosmo and it was tasty but very mild. The trio appetizer was disappointing. Service was good but we won't be back. So sad.
Do you smell that? – I had a good feeling walking into Cover 3. The waitstaff was friendly the place was nicely setup and our large and ever-growing party was accomodated immediately. Unfortunately the place stinks like a sewer and I got a horrible case of food poisoning from something I ate there. I'm not sure but it may have been a friend oyster but maybe it was the obvious open sewage that you can smell! Disgusting! I will never...ever go back here and you are probably putting your health at risk if you do. Bummer
A Great Place! – This place has a great atmosphere along with wonderful food. The Triple appetizer is delicious and the Carrie Cosmo was Fantastic! I also had the Cover 3 salad with chicken and it was sooooo good. You must go there, you will not be disappointed.
Great Appetizers & Drinks – I recently went to Cover 3 on a date and very impressed. We ordered from their appetizer menu because it still Happy Hour and their prices were so good. We ordered the Calamari, it was delicious and so tender. We asked for marinara sauce, but they didn't have it, however they brought us this excellent roumalude (sp?). We also ordered the TRIO which is salsa, guacamole & queso blanca with hand made chips. Sooo good and so fresh. My date had draft beers and a specialty ordered maragita (skinny), which is off menu but he said was made perfectly. I cautiously ordered the Carrie Cosmo hoping that they didn't go too far in messing up what could otherwise have been a simple cosmopolitan. I'm so glad I did... It was EXCELLENT! Our service was good as well. All in all... it was a great experience.
Good Sliders – I was very impressed with the sliders. Good horseradish mayo on the side. Fried were good too!! Beer was cold but not COLD!! like in the video. I'll try again .
Cover 3 covers it all!!! – Awesome place for a date or to just hang out with friends. Cover 3 has it all; great food, drinks, service and atmosphere. They make you feel like you are at home!!!
