This former Howard Johnson Express is located near Southwest Texas State University and the Aquarena Center, the riverside educational park owned by the University. The motel is located just off I-35, which offers convenience for travelers hitting sights around the city.

Guest rooms have all the basics, as well as a few extras such as expanded cable and premium movie channels. The outdoor area is a favorite with family travelers. The enormous pool is surrounded by a lawn area with barbecue pits available for guest use. Free locals calls and a complimentary continental breakfast add to the appeal.
