Customer Service can't be beat. I cannot speak highly enough of these people. I have called them out numerous times for heat/AC repairs. They have always been prompt, honest, and done great service. They will come out and look at your problem for NO charge - no service fee at all, even if you decide not to have them do the work! That itself is pretty unusual. On my last AC repair (third one in a year), they even researched my warranty for me to try and save me money, and ended up giving me a REALLY sweet deal and helped me out a LOT. These people go way above and beyond for customer service. I will never use anyone else for AC repair.

Before the holiday season began one of our heating units stopped working. We called another company to come out and take a look at the problem. After spendining several hundred dollars on what we thought were new parts the unit worked for maybe a total of 5 days. I had my suspisions with this company but wanted to give a local company our business. My husband and I decided that we did not want to use them again so I searched online and decided to give TACS a call. As all the other reviews have mentioned they were quick to respond to my call and sent Brent out to take a look at our unit. Brent was very knowledge and friendly. He also infomed us that the parts we thought we had purchased just 3 weeks earlier were not new parts.
It feels good to know that there are honest people out there that won't take you for your money. I would highly recommend calling TACS for any of your HVAC needs.
As good as advertised. I received a $630 quote by another company to fix the draft inducer blower on my furnace, and I went online and found that the replacement part is only $115 delivered. I called Texas Air Conditioning Specialists about 2PM and they sent out Eric a little over an hour later. When he pulled apart the existing part to put in the one I ordered online, he found a chunk of something stuck in there - once it was removed, the furnace worked fine. Eric was great to work with AND I was not charged for the visit! $630 compared to FREE is a substantial difference!

My AC was acting sluggish a month or so ago so I called TX AC Spec. out to look at my unit. They were able to get it running up to par at no cost (a simple fix, I assumed). Last week my AC started buzzing (the motor was on it's last leg). Again I called TX AC Spec. to come out, Eddie was awesome and friendly. He informed me my motor was about to go out completely and I should really get it replaced. Since I had just lost my job of 17 years, I didn't have a dime to my name so he was able to get it to work for another week, free of charge until it finally died completely. I called them first thing this morning and Eddie was at my door with the motor in hand just a couple hours after I called in for service.
I am so grateful they were able to keep me cool for that additional week until I was able to gather some funds to replace the motor.
Eddie, my TX AC Specialist was professional, kind and very courteous. I'm am truly grateful there are still good, honest people we can trust when we need service.

Excellent Customer Service.
We can't thank you enough for the quick response to our needs this morning. We returned home late yesterday afternoon from a long weekend out of town to find our A/C not cooling. We've had problems in the past and some horrible experiences with other companies, so we were kind of shooting in the dark when we contacted your company. After reading some of the comments from other clients and your BBB rating, we decided to give you a try.
Eddie arrived earlier than expected and got right to work on the issue. Within minutes, I was feeling the house getting cooler. He went beyond excellent customer service. He was courteous and professional, which is hard to find these days it seems.

great experience. This company was a pleasure to do buisness with - and that takes a lot when you are spending a lot on a new uni! Very prompt, professional and plain nice. Eddie diagnosed my A/C problem which stopped working in the middle of the day when the high was going to get to 107 Fahrenheit. He quickly found that it was the capacitor which I also suspected after he did a quick test (can't beat the free service and diagnostic that Texas A/C Specialists offer). Eddie had the part and we had cool air blowing immediately. I could have done it myself but it was already a little after 5pm, most places that would have sold the capacitor would have been likely closed and Eddie was quick and knowledgeable so it was worth the extra money to support local business. He even cleaned out all the dead geckos and lizards around the wiring on the outside unit.
Awesome service, awesome employees, awesome price. I now know who to call for future service requests if I can't do it myself.

I'm so happy to get to share my experience of the great service from Texas A/C Specialist. Late Thursday night last week, we discovered water dripping from our A/C through the ceiling into our bottom floor. My husband figured out the source and we took temporary measures to deal with it. In the morning, I called our usual service company but they couldn't come out the same day so I found TAS online. They sent Eddie out the same day.
He was extremely polite and personable. He quickly diagnosed the problem and said it would only take about 10 minutes. Well, he blew out the pipe that drains out the evaporation overflow, plus told me to put a cup of bleach into it every couple of months to prevent the same problem from happening again. He also changed the filters and showed me how to do the same maintenance on the downstairs A/C unit. He also told me about a device we could install that would automatically turn off the A/C if the water got close to overflowing again.
The kicker was that when I asked how much I owed, he told me, "nothing!" I couldn't believe it and asked him again and he said, "We're not just about making money. We really like to help people. You could write a review for us." I told him I would, of course! And here it is.

Great company, Great people!. I was very impressed and lucky to find such an excellent company. Our AC "went out with a bang", literally, and a couple of shakes. Texas weather (102), 4 yr old at home and me only having a couple hrs of sleep was very desperate and ran across this company via google. Read many great review and was excited there was no fee to come out and look at the AC. Very friendly receptionist was able to schedule me w/in the next couple hrs. Service Tech Thomas responded, diagnosed the problem and was very kind to even apologize when telling me what the problem was w/my AC, all w/in 15 min's. I knew I wasn't going to be able to afford the cost to fix it, however Thomas never pressured me into using their company and even advised me he'd hold the part for a day if I decided to call them to fix it. Even though I didn't use Texas AC Specialist for the repair I still feel very grateful to them. It was very reassuring to know what the problem was, and at no charge!
