Best Futon's in Austin. I love this store and I love my futon! I went to just about every furniture store in Austin to find my perfect couch/futon. I was able to really figure out what I wanted without any sales pressure here. Ken is a sweetheart, gave me a coke with a straw and just let me take my time! He was able to help me find the perfect futon within my budget. The mattress selection is wonderful. I never knew futons had so many varying degrees of comfort. The quality of the futons seemed much higher to me than the place down the street. Also I think it's a major perk that you can choose from 9 colors for the actual futon. Every else I looked the option were black or white in a really poor fabric and then they hard sell you on covers.... no hard-selling here. It was great to have my futon delivered almost immediately after purchasing it. The prices and customer service really can't be beat at the Futon Store. Now I must lay down on my new incredibly comfy perfect futon.

Great Deal. Love its the only locally owned futon store.. What is there to say? I got a great deal on a futon. We only shop local. This is the only locally owned futon shop in Austin. Ken is a great guy. Music and art selections are nice and local as well!

Good place for most things futon... We were looking for a futon store where we could get washable futon covers. Our current one has to be dry cleaned and that is an inconvenience when you have pets. Shaun was very helpful and we found exactly what we were looking for. We placed our order for the cover, paid for it and was told it would take 10 business days for it to come in. Shaun said they would call us when it arrived. Well, it was 14 days later and we hadn't heard from them, so we called to check on the status of our cover. It turns out that the owner went on vacation and our order hadn't been placed until today (2 weeks later), so we have to wait another 2 weeks for our cover. I would have appreciated a call letting us know there would be a delay with our order. Perhaps then I wouldn't have been so disappointed. They didn't wait 4 weeks to take my $$$....

A store you will only find in Austin. These guys ask me to comment if I was happy. I am. I cant stand when sales people hound you. They helped me when I had questions, and where off doing their own thing when I didnt. I sat and looked thru cover selections for atleast 30 minutes, and the only thing I heard was Manu Chao playing in the background. Nice, ehh?

My husband had come in previously, and picked out a great frame and mattress, that we got for cheaper than the same thing down the road. But his cover selection was hideous. Leather? Are you serious. No more lone shopping for anything that comes into this house, mister. Thank you. I corrected his aesthetic error, and the guys here shipped the cover straight to our house, so we didnt have to make a return trip. Thanks.

Check out both stores. The best thing for you to do is to visit both stores because they are so close together, and judge for yourself.

This store is the only locally owned Futon Store in Austin.. HHHmmm...last 2 reviews...one day after the other....both list the address to the COMPETITION DOWN THE ROAD...both suggest going to the competition down the road. One made by the "Futon King"...sounds like the out of town owned guys down the road are a little jealous that this store is beating the pants off'em....hehehe....BUY LOCAL!

SAY NO TO THE FRAUD- GO SEE THE FUTON FURNITURE STORE DOWN THE ROAD!. TEXAS FUTON COMPANY- THIS IS NOT!!!! I had originally purchased my futon for my dorm room from them. Now that I am finished with school and a getting house, my wife and I came in expecting the same great selections and service. We were sorely mistaken! First off this place doesn't even the word FUTON in their name. They are really Beds, Beds, & More. We later found out from another futon store at 5134 Burnet Rd., Texas Futon went out of business almost a year ago.

This store defiantly had its differences. The first was their customer service, or should I say, the lack there of. They just seemed to want to cram a futon down my throat. Their mattress selections only offered a few total uncomfortable ones. Now if I wanted to finish this deal out with all the bells and whistles, I could only get ugly solid covers for my mattress. If I wanted to, I could special order, but that pricing was outrageous! Now here is the real kicker, as my wife and I drove to this store we notice the other futon store mentioned above; we wanted to see what the difference really was. We hope one thing would be price and variety. Yeah, did I mention these futons where so high priced, I could have bought a nice leather sofa and been better off.

We went down the road to The Futon Furniture Store (5134 Burnet Rd.), and were completely blown away with the difference. They had a lot more frame styles to choice from. The guy their seemed to know what he was doing. We felt great after he told us their company had been in business in JUST futons for 14 years. They just expanded up here, and I must say are a welcomed addition. They helped me get what I was looking for and the prices where great. I'm thinking about now doing our living room with a couple pieces from his store. We where even able to take all our merchandise with us that day. Bed, Beds said they would have to order, unless we wanted to take their scratch up floor model. Thank you Futon Furniture Store!!!

Texas Futon Company is closed. News guys are frauds. I am friends with the owner of Texas Futon Company. The Store that is now in the same location as the old Store is Called Beds, Beds and more and Futons and they moved into the same location after Texas Futon Company closed all of their locations in Texas. The Store that is there now knows very little about Futons and is Illegally using the Texas Futon Store name and locations and is currently under investigations for wrongful business practices. If justice is served in Austin soon this Futon imposter will be soon driven out of town.

If you want to go to a real Futon Store Locally owned in Texas with 15 years of experience and a friends of the previous owner of Texas Futon Company, please visit The Futon Furniture Store at 5134 Burnet Rd. Just south of the imposter. They are currently Texas oldest and Largest Futon Stores in Austin and in San Antonio.

They also have a low price Guarantee. If the Futon Furniture Store does not beat anyones price on a futon(local or national) they will give you the futon for free.

Please feel free to shop all the Austin Stores because we have, and now in Austin we have found the only place to go for the biggest selection, best prices and everything in Stock is the Futon Furniture Store at 5134 Burnet. They have the same phone number as Texas Futon Store #512-450-1660.

Dont be fooled by Beds Beds and more. They are not Texas Futon Company and have no legal rights to use the name and they are not a member of City search and were not in business in 2007 when they claim to be the most searched futon store in Austin.

Wrong Store Listing. Years ago, I bought my first futon at the Texas Futon Company store located on Burnet, and I know the store very well. When I was recently in the market for a new futon, I had originally wanted to return to the Texas Futon Company; HOWEVER, they are no longer in business! This futon store, which is pictured, is only located in the same building but it is NOT the Texas Futon Company, and the store inside is quite different than the old Texas Futon Company used to be.
