That was gross. We met another family with kids there. The play area is great. Lots of shade. Great!

But the food was - gross!!!! My salad was wilted, the fish was OK, I think it had been frozen.My son's chicken tenders were OK, way too much breading, fries were gross. Daughters burger was for SURE frozen, gross. My husband's salad was cheap lettuce (ice burge), not good.

OH! And he said his beer was flat.

We won't go back. Too bad, great playground.

Austin Favorite. I'm very familiar with Doc's Motor Works on South Congress but was pleased to see that they added a second location in South Austin near Brodie. The food is the same old favorites - burgers, salads, tacos, and more - but the second location seems bigger and has more parking! The atmosphere is still relaxed and this location seems to cater a little more to families with a kid's playscape next to their large outdoor patio area. This is the perfect spot to watch the game, enjoy a cold beer on a hot day, and get some tasty grub without breaking the bank. Doc's does a good amount of daily specials so be sure to check their website for good deals.
