Went to the l Loo. It was awesome. The service was great and the food was fantastic. With 20 different beers on tap i felt like a kid in a candy store. Sit at the bar when Val is working. That girl ROCKS!!!!!!
Worst Overpriced Hamburger in South Austin.
I met my wife and son at Southpark Meadows for lunch, and agreed to try Waterloo.
It was lunch time, and the restaurant was near empty. That should have been the first clue that the experience would leave something to be desired.
There was no greeting upon entering, even though eye contact was made with unfriendly staff. As the customer, I had to initiate the first "hello". Not a huge deal.
I went to the Patio to meet my wife who was already seated, and the server promptly came out to take my drink order and was friendly.
We both had the Kobe Burger. Big mistake. For a $10 hamburger, one would expect maybe a 1/3 pound patty. Instead, it was a 1/4 pounder with less flavor than McDonalds. It seemed to have the distinct taste of soybeans. Is their Kobe beef really mixed with soybeans?
The burger was cooked to my liking, but had no seasoning at all. Beef with not even salt or pepper - and I do not like to smother the taste of beef.
The french fries tasted like that had been fried in old oil, left in the oil overnight, fried again, and left under a heat lamp for four hours. In other words, quite possibly the worst fries I have ever tasted.
I would absolutely not return, nor would I recommend this to my friends.
