Best banh mi in Austin. They bake French style baguettes in house. #1 combo & meatball are great. Try the banh bao & pâté chaud pastries.
Awesome. We had the #1, and the #5. The bread was amazing, there were a few customers who came in to buy the bread alone, and in hindsight, I wish I had done the same. The #1 special pork was such a wonderful mix of flavors and textures, and the #5 BBQ pork was good and had a lot of great anise flavor. On top of how good the food was, the sandwiches only cost 3 dollars!!! Highly recommended!
Great Baguette; Need some work on Service. I go there often, love the baguette, love the food there, too. However, I wasn't happy when I went there to get 1 baguette, waited in line for a while (it was pretty busy that day) , and a Vietnamese gentleman came up behind me & interrupted me while I was about to order (cutting everyone in line) and ordered a baguette & coffee (in Vietnamese). I ordered 1 baguette, but the guy who cut the line got his baguette and coffee before I did...?! I thought they were going to give me my baguette, but they handed it to him and asked to move to the side. I wasn't very happy with it. The guy who normally helps me wasn't working the cashier that day, so I hope the next visit will be better. Either way, you would think that a returning customer would be treated a little better. And really, any customer who waits in line should be treated well.
