because Richard, Rex and their staff did such an outstanding.
I procrastinated for over 3 months before I signed a contract because I have hear too many horror stories of bad experience with contractors. My best friend has been involved in protracted legal battles in court with contractors due to water leaks from remodeling her kitchen. Besides, I didn't know anything about remodeling and I was so naturally very nervous about the possibility of the process going wrong.
All my worries turned out to be unnecessary.
First, Richard, with whom I signed the contract, has been extremely helpful. Since I didn't know much about remodeling, he was very patient in explaining what would be involved. Moreover, he offered to help me select the plumbing fixtures. This was extremely important to someone like myself. I would be completely lost as to what to purchase and which brand is a quality brand. Richard went with me to two different stores in one afternoon and helped me pick out all the plumbing fixtures, while also helping me with negotiating a good price with the vendors. He didn't have to do this at all (this was not part of the contract). I really appreciate his generosity in sharing his knowledge with me.
Second, the contract with Blue Diamond included 2 hours with an interior designer, which turned out to be indispensable for my remodel. Other contractors did not offer this help at all. The feature of the contract makes the whole process easier.
Third, the project manager, Rex, is an absolutely delightful person to work with, extremely professional, very responsive, always punctual, very knowledgeable about all aspects of remodeling, and always on top of things. He always responded right away if I sent him an inquiry. His is also very respectful of the fact that I may not be able to talk during work days, so he always sent a text message first to see if I could give him a call instead of just calling me. I really appreciate his patience and responsiveness throughout the whole remodeling process.
I am recommending this company to all my friends.
The hardest part about signing a contract for remodeling is the ex ante uncertainty - after signing the contract, will the contractor perform a good job? Will they be punctual? Will they procrastinate? Will they respond should an issue arise? Will they clean up after each work day? These, and many other such questions, gave me cold feet for three months. With Blue Diamond remodeling, the answers to all the above questions are yes.
One last thing: I have always been a free rider on other people's reviews. But with my remodeling job, I feel compelled to write a responsible review, for homeowners like myself, who are looking to remodel but are concerned about various potential negative outcomes. I feel compelled also because Richard, Rex and their staff did such an outstanding job. They deserve absolutely the highest rating.
Blue Diamond initials stand for Best Doggone Remodeler.
I say best because they stained the cabinets exactly how I wanted them stained, they handled the wall texture to a beautiful texture, painted everything so nice.
The crew was fabullous. Blue Diamond gave me a finish date and a price, both which they kept. Blue Diamond kept the property neat during construction and left it in a very clean state. The work accomplished was excellent.
Thank you so much, Yolanda G
Everything is rebuilt better than it was.
Last January we incured extensive damage from an insurance loss. We hired Richard of Blue Diamond as our General Contractor. He managed to put us on a good schedule with his fine organizational skills, kept very good track of our job. If he wasn't on the jobsite, he was always a phone call away. He always returns phone calls.
I'm happy to say that our house is all put back together again. Everything is rebuilt better than it was. We'd like to thank Richard and all the Blue Diamond crew for helping us.

This was our first experience with a contractor.
This was our first experience with a contractor and I must say we approached with project with a great deal of caution based on all the horror stories we have heard from friends about contract work and remodels. However we were pleasantly suprised by the experience: the finished product is beautiful, and 4 or 5 weeks it took to do the job were quite painless. We hired Blue Diamond Remodeling as the general contractor to remodel our master bathroom.
The work was done in a very timely fashion. The most stressful part of the job was Richard's persistent reminders for all the things that we had to select, ie finishes, tile, windows, fixtures, paint and other design items.
While the project was by nature a messy one that involved tearing down walls and ripping out existing fixtures, the people working dutifully and thoroughly cleaned up the area every single night so that, absent being short a bathroom for a while, we were really not personally inconvenienced by all the work.
Finally, and most importantly, as I mentioned above, the finished product looks absolutely professional and is exactly what we wanted. It is a pleasure to take a shower and get ready every morning in our new beautiful bedroom and bathroom.
sincerely,
Ingrid and Mike Connell
much appreciated.
I'd like to applaud Blue Diamond for the completed project, and I am very pleased with the quality of work, your crew and style that was done. I am emailing my whole address book as a recommendation for Blue Diamond. I heartly recommend them to others.

dishonest, deceitful, destructive, unscrupulous. Rucker entered our lives promising the world for our house. We "signed" a one sided contract for work to be done on the back part of our house. He had himself listed as a licensed architect, which he is not,he had himself set up as a member in good standing with NARI which he is not. If you look really closely at his website none of the "references" are real. He came in demolished the back side of our home and left it wide open, then went on to demolish a sidewalk in the front( having nothing to do wtih the remodel at all, stating that it was needed for excess impervious cover).Destroyed the front of our house with large holes because we might eventually "remodel the bathroom",though that wasn't in the contract at all. He used unlicensed electricians, staged our job with tons of wood stating it was for our job and then three weeks later said it was really for some other job. We never recieved a dumpster, he just used our front yard even though we kept asking for it. We had several meetings to discuss the situations so that we could help to reconcile however it never happened so after many times he was asked to leave. A pattern that has happened many times. The previous clients had to sue him because he took them for 40 grand, he only took us for 27 grand. Be ware he is out for himself only and could care less about anything else.
fantastic bath.
Blue Diamond Remodeling gave us just what we were looking for! In fact, they suggested a few alternatives to our plan that improved the final outcome. We couldn't be happier. Having our mast bath remodeled has not only upgraded out living quarters - we believe it has actually give us a brighter outlook!
Again, thanks for doing such a nice job!
Pat
You must have found the best contractor.
The Blue Diamond crew were dependable and extremely neat and courteous. What ever problems that may have occured along the way, Richard and his crew handled them with expert decision making ease.
Blue Diamond bid the job and completed the job on time according to contract.
We now have an extremely attractive 500 foot studio. The most popular comment we've heard after completion is, "What a fabulous re-model. You must have found the best contractor." We feel we did find the best. One of the hard parts of the job was re-using some cabinets we pulled out of our old studio and remaking them for this one.
We highly recommend Blue Diamond for your contractor.

I now see that remodeling is not easy.
I want to thank Blue Diamond Remodeling for doing such an excellent job on our bathroom remodel. You exceeded our expectations in four ways: 1.) the quality of work, 2.) your personal attention to detail and quick response to our questions, 3.) the high caliber and considerateness of your workers and 4.) you finished the job earlier than expected. This is the 1st time my wife and I have used a contractor and we had heard horror stories from friends about their experiences. Thank you for making this remodel a success and finishing it ahead of schedule. My wife loves it. I look forward to using Blue Diamond in the future.

great work on the book cases.
I wanted to thank Blue Diamond for the great work on the bookcases. They look and feel as if they were built when the house was, not an addition 70 years later. I am completely happy with them.
I have a couple more projects that I intend to have done in the future and will hire you again for those.
Thanks,
Doug Walker
