Couldn't have had a better experience

The transmission in my 2006 Suburban first went out at 122,000 miles just outside New Braunfels. A local mechanic recommended a local shop. The local guy told me he could rebuild it for $1,500 including the tow - good deal right? Even warranteed the rebuild for 12 months / 12K miles.
Fast forward eight months and twenty something thousand miles - here come the same problems that precluded the first rebuild. This time I had choices and a friend recommended Eagle Transmission. When i brought it in Joe and Tim told me it could be a lot of things - from a $26 part to a full rebuild. Well.....it was another full rebuild. I told the guys about my previous rebuild and gave them the receipt. They went over it part by part and verified that the other guy did in fact do everything he charged me for - he just didn't do everything he needed to do and he used shoddy parts.
Joe walked me around the entire shop and explained the workings of an automatic transmission to me (black majic up to that point) and how they operate the shop, from the tear down tables through to the rebuild rack. I was really surprised by how clean and organized everything was. My Grandfather ran a shop, and it was nothing like this.
Joe and Tim explained what had gone wong with my transmission and the repairs and upgrades they would do. Two days later I got my truck back and it was perfect. Having these guys do the job right cost me a few hundred dollars more than having someone else do it wrong. There's not a doubt in my mind that my transmission is back to 100%, and if I do have a problem in the future, I know these guys will stand behind their work and their 3 year 36K mile warranty.
No one likes having their car worked on, and everyone has a story about being burned. Finding honest people to work on your car is a rare piece of mind. I couldn't recommend these guys more highly.

My transmission had literally exploded. The first place I took it to gave me a price before they even picked up a wrench or screw driver. I found Eagle on the Internet, called them and they towed my truck to there shop for free. I received a quote after they actually thoroughly inspected it.
Tim answered all of my phone calls, never became annoyed with how often I called, and never rushed me off the phone. Great service, free towing, fair price, completed on time, always kind and present, and truck is running like new. Thanks again Tim for putting my truck back together again!

When the transmission went out in my son's 2002 Mercedes C240, I was referred to Eagle Transmission by a local mechanic and had it towed there. Having never dealt with them before, I didn't know what to expect. They did an excellent job in rebuilding my son's transmission and kept me informed during the entire process. Manager Tim Kilpatrick was most professional and courteous. I would recommend Eagle Transmission to everyone.
- Pros: Honest, informative, courteous
- Cons: None
From Broken Transmission to Happy Disposition!

In 2009 my son and I purchased a 2002 Acura RSX Type S in excellent condition, so we thought!
The transmission went out so I asked around, I got yes and no's on AAMCO, Cottman and B&M. No one I asked had used Eagle Transmission, I chose them for that reason. I must say it's the best choice I've made in years. The shop is female friendly and Tim went above and beyond my expectations of service. There was communication on parts, prices and labor. He checked both local dealerships in town to acquire the most reasonable prces for parts he couldn't get himself, and even let us purchase the clutch we wanted from a 3rd party and they installed it! Eagle Transmission will now be our only shop for any type of transmission services and all that we recommend. The transmission rebuild and clutch replacement was all A+ work. My son Kris says it best, "The transmission now shifts like a hot knife through butter."
- Pros: Honest, Respectful, Quality Work
- Cons: None
