Faked Reviews.
I know a ton of people below have said this, but I'd like to make sure it's at the top of the page... I'd be willing to guess that all of the 5-Star reviews on this page are completely fake and fabricated by Campus and Central.

Campus and Central isn't the worst place ever. But there are some pretty crummy people working there that can make it a bad experience.
Amazing service. Every individual I have interfaced with at Campus & Central Properties has been extremely professional and gone out of their way to provide exceptional customer service. I purchased a condominium in West Campus January 2010. They had it leased within two weeks, even though classes had already started. Monthly rent checks and statements were mailed to me like clock work. Any service work I needed on the property was done timely, efficiently and fairly. I just read the previous review on this site where an individual was determining whether to do business with Campus & Central Properties based on trying to determine whether or not previous reviews were "staged". I am not smart enough to do regression analysis on previous reviews. However, I can say this, I would never consider another property management company in Austin and based on my experience give them the hightest recommendation!
Suspiciously written reviews.
A few weeks ago, we met with this company regarding properties at UT. As any good consumer, we decided to check reviews on his business.
The reviews on Citysearch are obviously staged. It doesn't take a math major to figure this out either. The initial reviews were all 5 star and 8 reviews were written in one month. Then there is a 3 month gap with no reviews. The next batch of reviews are 1 star and there were 5 reviews written within 8 months which seem more realistic and seem to actually correlate to UT rental/lease time periods. Again, a 4 month gap.
Now here's the kicker. The next batch of reviews again are all 5 star. Nineteen (19)!! get written in less than two months, 5 of which are within a couple days.
How odd and suspicious is that? It does seem like the company either pays people or encourages their friends to overload the system with positive comments to offset the negative ones. That in itself is bad business as it is essentially cheating. And the person they are cheating is the consumer. Not good.
Think about it. It took 27 five star reviews to undo the 5 one star reviews (not including mine) to get their total review count back up to 5 star. Folks, that's just simple math.
I'm not saying this company is bad. I'm saying do your homework before working with them. One review suggested talking to UT legal which is a very good idea. Personally I like doing business with people who don't play the game. I'd rather spend a little more money and do it right.
On the ball. Bob was very helpful and kept us on the ball from the start.
