Bar marries drinking at home with going out.. Here's hoping that the perfectly relaxing, charming vibe of this place can somehow result in more old houses in Austin becoming lovely bars; this was a perfect adaptation. Located on a super-cute street with a stunning view of downtown skyscrapers--they look like glittering jewels from the rocking chairs on the front porch--this house-bar slings the full monty: wine, beer and most kinds of alcohol, including top-shelf stuff. The jukebox rocks, and to swing even more hips, hula hoops are available for twirling attempts. Ping pong may unite or divide a group--depends on the levels of experience and competition. The fun vibe inside should eradicate any jealous bickering; it's fun and cozy here.
