Go there if you want to get butchered. I don't know what her name is but she's a little older and I think she told me she was related to the owner. She did my feet in a dirty tub that she just rinsed out with water and I asked her about her tools and she said they were very clean and I just saw her take them from some dirty tray as she did my nails she just wouldn't stop rambling on and on about nonsense it gave me such a headache I was so happy it was over later I was told by my doctor I had contacted a fungus from what ever she used and did slob I should have known better when people look like they come to work dressed in there dirty PJS that should have been my 1st clue not to let her touch my nails as for the color it was great but I won't be coming back because of the fungus. I'm just glad that when she cut me I didn't get infected, I was going to say something but she told me not to because she's related to the owner and that could cause issues so I decided not to.

Over priced, Terrible service, Rude people. I would give this place zero stars if I could. The salon itself is so cramped and you can tell they try to be a luxury salon but it's not working, not even a little bit. The employees are all over the place for no particular reason. I can't understand a thing the owner is saying but she won't stop talking. I don't think the young employees they have are even licensed from what I heard in their conversation. And I felt really bad for them because obviously they're being taken advantage of. I was cut I don't know how many times, it was agonizingly painful. I remember sitting there thinking to myself "why am I going through this torture and paying for it." But I did, something that will never happen again if I can help it. No one there knows how to fill my solar nails, that's like a hair salon saying "we don't know how to shampoo." HUH? It was just me at the time but before I left another lady walked in and the scene they made fighting over who was going to get the next sale you can smell the desperation from a mile away. I could not wait to get out of there. It's like a train wreck, you feel bad for watching but just can't' seem to look away. To sum up, my pedicure was terrible, the color lasted a day and a half, the service itself was horrid, the owner is annoying, the prices are ridiculous. I don't think "day spa" is quite the right name for this place, not even a little bit.

Should be called Tortured by Cindy!. This place is in the pits of a parking lot, which is very creepy as you can see in the pictures especially here in fall when it gets dark a little early. I needed a fill and a pedicure and they said that they could do a pedi but not really my fill. What kind of nail salon doesn't know how to do a fill? That's like a Mexican restaurant saying "sorry we don't know how to make tacos." But moving right along, I got a pedi and it was a agonizing experience. The lady obviously had no clue what she was doing. She was fumbling around awkwardly and dropping stuff left and right on the floor mind you and then use the tools on me. Probably not the cleanest way to go about it. The water was cold and it looked like there was stuff floating in the basin. The store was very cramped since I was the only one in there listening to the employees gossip in a foreign language, probably about me, it was very uncomfortable. I know this is gonna sound so wrong of me but it smelled weird in the store, can't pin point what it is but it was definitely stuffy. I should have just forgotten about my hands but an older lady, name Lisa I think insisted on taking care of me. She keeps telling me how much she knows about EVERYTHING. She would not stop talking, I couldn't take a breath much less relax. That is if she's not cutting me. I was nick on 6 out of my 10 fingers and everything was crooked and uneven. But apparently the owner was having trouble paying the rent for the store or something so they begged for me to stay. And I figured I'm already so invested time wise I might as well let them finish. I think this is the only time I've been to a salon and left with my nails looking worst than when I came in, not to mention a little poorer. But I guess if the store is about to be under foreclosure I'll just consider that my charitable contribution.

Best Spa in Austin City. What a wonderful experience. This is my second time at By Cindy. I came here yesterday with my friend and we were very satisfied. Great polish selection. The lady who did my mani and pedi was very skilled at her job. Will be back.

Bad experience, will never go again!!. I usually go to Tarrytown nails, and thought since I work near 5th, I would try Cindys Day Spa. I made an appointment for Thursday afternoon for a manicure and pedicure. The facility was nice, and clean so I assumed they would also do good work. Even after I returned from it, I referred a friend there the next day telling her how nice it was. She went and had a manicure done by them. By Saturday my nails and toenails had started chipping, the girl that did my nails did the polish very thin, so not only was it chipping, it was starting to show through my nails. My friend's nails started chipping by Sunday! Maybe it is just me, but I do not want to pay $40 to have my polish last 2 days!!! I could have done it myself and used that money for cocktails!

So I called on Monday to say I loved the place, but am very disappointed, and told her what happened. The girl was very nice, said she was so sorry and for me to tell her a day that week that would work to come back in and she would re-do it for FREE, and even give me a parafin treatment. That would have been great, and the right thing to do as they are a new business and that is how you treat customers when you do a bad job. However, I got a phone call 2 hours before I was supposed to go back in for my re-do and they said sorry, but the owner, Cindy said she will not do it for free, that I had to pay for it. She said there is a 3 day period, so I should have come in on Monday. I told her that would have been fine if they would have told me that on Monday when I called, however the girl asked me what day was convenient for me, and I told her Thursday, so I could have fresh nails for the holiday weekend. I have to say that is one of the worst ways to handle business! You don't treat your customers like that!! Especially when you are a new business! I am appalled and I definitely will not be going there again, and I DO NOT recommend it to anyone. Yea, it is nice inside, but who wants to pay $40 for 2 days worth of polish, then be treated like that. You don't deliver bad work, then say you will redo not at no charge, then call the day of and say "Oh, now Cindy wants you to pay for it, and won't do it for free!" Bad, bad way to handle business.

Beautiful salon plus great service. I went to get my nails done for my wedding. I haven't had solar nails in years and I wanted my nails to look nice for pictures. They did an excellent job! I hate the way solar nails look when they are really thick and fake looking they did such a good job and they really do look natural! I would definitely recommend them and plan on going back for a pedicure.

Nice atmosphere & a great Pedicure!. It's so nice to have a GREAT nail salon downtown! It is absolutely beautiful inside with wood, stone, and even a waterfall! The staff is sweet and takes great care of you. I got a pedicure and the gal who did it did a great job. I left with pretty toes and feeling relaxed.
