Shelly is WONDERFUL! It’s always scary to look for a new hair stylist especially when you’re unhappy with the current state of your hair. I had been fortunate enough to only have had two different stylists for the past 14 years, but just before Christmas I received a hair color that was the opposite of what I had asked for. I cried on the way home and when I asked my stylist two days later to undo it and put it back to the color I’d come in with she refused and sent me a check for half of what I’d paid despite the fact that I’d been with her for almost four years. I found Shelly by reading her reviews online. She really listened to what I wanted and copied the picture I gave her exactly. I am so happy with my hair color! I can’t stop playing with it and have received so many compliments not only from friends and coworkers, but also from strangers (I work retail). Her prices are extremely affordable and I highly recommend her. Thanks, Shelly!

awesome!. Shelly makes a hair appointment a time to look forward to... a nice break from your busy world and time to chat with a friend. She does my cuts and highlights and I always leave there looking fabulous! I have already sent two clients her way and they love her just the same!

Shelly Abbott is Outstanding in her field of Art. Shelly is an awesome hair designer and extremly artistic. Her patience with clients who don't know what they want is outstanding. She worked with me and worked with me, to get the look I wanted. I was a real challenge and she stood by me and worked with me till we got that look.

She can talk to you about anything you want. This makes the session go by quickly. This is a true gift that many hair designers do not have. She cares about you and cares deeply that her work is the best. Thanks Shelly for all the hours you have put in and all your patience. You are the BEST! Dee Wooldridge

Best Hair Stylist I Have Found!. I met Shelly about two years ago after bouncing around from stylist to stylist and I have finally found one I love! Shelly is so sweet and really takes time to listen to what you want and does exactly just that. She is a great stylist and keeps up on all the hair trends. I am a mother of 3 and she is always willing to work on Sunday or whatever day I need to get my hair done. She is the best!!

Glad to have found Shelly. We moved to Austin 10 years ago, and I have bounced from one hair stylist to another, never completely satisfied with the job that was done. It is not just about the cut or color it's also about being listened to. Shelly listens to me when I tell her how I want my hair to look with the cut and color. The amazing part is when she is done it looks exactly like the mental picture I had in my head. She is fantastic at getting just the right color mix for my highlights. Shelly has been cutting my hair for over a year and I have never been happier with the way my hair looked.

Very Satisfied Customer. I have been going to Shelly for 3 years now and am very pleased everytime I leave the salon. I started out going for basic hair cuts but now have her color my hair and do the keratin straigtening system. Her prices are very reasonable, and she is really personable and fun to talk to. Shelly's schedule is very flexible. I am a teacher, and she works around school hours - I can see her weekends and evening. It's also nice to be able to text or email her for my appointments. Shelly values her customers and it shows in her work.

Shelly is AMAZING!!!!. Shelly has been taking care of my hair for about 4 years!! :) She is absolutely AMAZING and I couldn't ask for anyone better! She is incredibly professional, she works with me to explain the best options for my hair color and type to always accomplish the look I want. Shears by Shelly is #1 in our book!. My family has been seeing Shelly for almost 2 years now. I started then recruited my husband and she even gave my son his very first professional hair cut. She even let us take pictures and gave us some locks to remember the event - it was so special!

We are thrilled at the results we get from her. Her hours are flexible and she is even able to accommodate what I call a family cut – she does all of us back to back which is extremely helpful with our busy schedules!

Sometimes like with any stylist I have ever been to things go wrong or run late – she is always apologetic if it was something on her end and makes things right. Let’s face it, we as clients are sometimes to fault but she is always understanding about any mis-communication or tardiness on our part.

She does not rush but takes her time to make sure when we leave her shop we are happy…and we always are! Honestly, I could not be happier with the quality of work that Shelly does and also the professional but fun manner she does it in. We always feel comfortable around her and leave feeling wonderful with our new hair do’s!

Anyone looking for a new stylist, I would HIGHLY recommend giving Shelly a try. She really is great!

Simply talented, and *very* professional. I can't tell you how long I was hopping from barbershops to salons and back, usually frustrated that no one was getting it "quite right". Been seeing Shelly for a few years now and not only is she an artist, she genuinely cares that you leave happy and enjoy the experience. I cannot for the life of me imagine someone considering her unprofessional. I have recommended her to *everyone* I know and will continue to do so.

Shelly is AWESOME!. My daughter and I have been going to Shelly for about (4) years now, and couldn't be happier! She's very flexible, and was able to accommodate my sometimes crazy work schedule with late evening and/or weekend appointments, when necessary. She listens, offers suggestions, and isn't afraid to ask questions to make sure she understands your needs, and is honest enough to say if there's something she cannot do. She's thorough in her work (a perfectionist), and won't let you leave until you are satisfied.

Every once in awhile, that means that her appointments run over schedule, and I, too, have received a text message informing me that she's running behind schedule, but you can be assured that she will NOT rush your appointment in order to catch up on her schedule - she will spend the same amount of time and attention to your hair as the previous person received.

Shelly is also generous with her time and talent - she helped (and even recruited other hairstylists to help) do the hairstyles for a high school fashion show fundraiser (we raised $1200!). Give her a try - you'll be glad you did!
