What Our Expert Scouts Say

January 13, 2013

Plain Ivey Jane was founded on a pretty genius product principle: Overstock, high-end clothing at discount prices. The style here tends to be a young "ladies who lunch" one, with bright-colored dresses and tasteful little skirts.

what a breath of fresh air!. Plain Ivy Jane is the most inviting new boutique in Austin. The pallet and interior are bright and airy making you feel very comfortable and happy to be there.

The owner has such a talent for choosing beautiful women's clothing and offering it at a fraction of the cost. She carries everything from day dresses to party dresses, casual wear to work wear. Also carried in the store is a fun selection of local accessories designers. My favorite are the repurposed watches that have maps as the faces!

This store is a wonderful addition to the Austin shopping scene. A must see (and shop) if you are a local or just visitin'.

What A Concept for budget shopping. Newest shop on 2nd street with the best concept ever!

This shop is for women who want the highest fashions at the lowest price. She has a little of everything. The shop has one of a kind jewerly, unique handbags, and many other accessories.

Plin Ivey Jane is the perfect name for this shop, but you need to see it to truly understand. Sarah, the owner is a delight with her welcoming personality and no pressure salesmenship. Shop the new merchandise weekly.

Be sure to meet Florence, the sweetest shop dog ever!

Best place for a gal to hunt for bargains. Honestly I don't know labels much because I'm a budget shopper, but the owner finds really amazing deals on clothes that would normally be out of my price range. Is it wrong to turn into a label whore just because of this store?

Also, it's just the cutest store you've ever seen. It's on 2nd street next to La Condesa (across from Lamberts) and has a fun eclectic vibe, with a mixture of vintage furniture and industrial chic fixtures.

Oh, and there's a shop dog. All stores should have shop dogs.
