Some of the most original, refined, and
intense food in Texas is being served at this classy if somewhat dull looking restaurant in the ATT center. It lacks the edge and panache of some Austin restaurants but it bows to none in the caliber of the cookery.

The Carillon's atmosphere has a bit to
be desired, mired in that old boy's club style of Texas Exes and their kin, but the menu is a breath of fresh air, with classic bones (duck leg confit, braised short rib) and experimental touches (fennel jam, smoked maple syrup).

Citysearch Editorial Review.
Chef Josh Watkins is turning out culinary masterpieces at the Carillon situated on the University of Texas campus. The vast dining room has been recently renovated to include an intimate bar and lounge area in the front of the room. Standout dishes include an Olive Oil Poached Beef Tenderloin and the Braised Beef Short Ribs. From appetizer through dessert courses consistency flows with flavorful bursts. The wine list is solid and a full-service bar turns out flawlessly crafted classic cocktails. Expect to rub elbows with UT alumni, Texas Longhorn football players and foodies in-the-know of suberb food.
