An EXCELLENT Option!

Don, the owner, is knowledgeable, friendly, and understanding. He keeps close tabs on his crews and has no difficulty in cutting loose employees that do not perform to his expectations. He addresses client concerns quickly and efficiently.

I have used his company for painting jobs, both internal and external, and never had a problem that he was not happy to correct. I used him for a complete re-roofing job, just prior to an assessment for sale in Cedar Park. The minor things later identified by the inspector, were corrected by H D Roofing & Painting. within the week, at no additional cost.

This company is cost competitive, and definitely worth a look.

Helpful, affordable, and responsive

Helpful, affordable, and responsive. Don Richardson of HD Remodeling took our house from rags to riches. HD did the exterior paint, sheetrock, some trim, and interior paint. The first thing that blew me away about HD was that David dedicatedly searched out an exterior plank to exactly match our vintage (year 1948) planks on our garage - and the search took him to San Marcos! Also, David and Francisco worked long hours to meet our tight schedule. David verified my paint color and finish choices by taking me to another project where I could see the finished effect. Overall HD is very attentive and Don Richardson was always making sure we were happy.

Used Car Salesman

Never met with Don, but met with his project manager. Who I would say is worse than a used car salesman. While throwing around insulting comments in regards to the state of the house "which is the reason we were getting a bid from them!"

Gave a mouthful of BS and never followed threw any of it. He was suppose to send over Don to talk more about the scale of the project which never happened. From my experience I would never use these guys. He was throwing around numbers in the 20K range. After hearing that we got 3 different bids for the same job. All 3 came in around 13,500 to 16,000.

I would say keep shopping and good luck.

Excellent Remodeler - Great Experience

I was referred to HD by a friend. I met with Don and his project manager and both were very professional and polite. They did an excellent job on my house. The did a new exterior/interior paint job. Installed new kitchen countertops and fixtures. Tiled the entire first floor living area and created a new custom bathroom. They performed all the work in a very timely manner and kept us informed throughout the entire construction process. I am very pleased with HD and would recommend them to anyone who is in need of remodeling. Thank you HD!

Priced well for what you get but you gotta check on them...

Good price for what we got accomplished but there are some things I would not use them for again.

We used Don's service to remove a load bearing wall, install hard floors, skim coat, texture, and paint some wood paneling, remove ceiling popcorn, install two exterior doors, and install some patio slabs.

Overall Don did a great job for the price. Our friends were impressed we accomplished so much with what we paid. So 5 stars on the remodel.

Lose one star for not finishing on time. We were told it would be done by moving day, right up until moving day. We found it wasn't done when we pulled up with the moving van and they were still here painting.

Painting in the non-remodeled part was disappointing, so lose one star for that. Paint looks good, but they got texturing all over the place. It's all over the windows and all over the ceiling fans and light fixtures. They also got paint on the carpet that the carpet cleaners could not remove. One of the painters also brought his kids (toddler age to maybe 4 yrs) to the site and left them in the car in 100 heat for about 30-45 mins. One of the kids was yelling the whole time. We didn't know whose kids they were and were getting worried when nobody was showing up and were about to call the cops when finally one of the painters on our project walks out of our house and over to the car and finally leaves.

They also said they would come back to finish up one last trim item (a board was exposed under one of the doors and needed to be sealed), but they needed to be paid for the finish that day. Sounded easy enough, so I paid them when the understanding they would be back to seal the board. Never saw them again, ended up having to finish that piece ourselves.

So again, great job on the remodeled parts of the house, sloppy work on the painting, so I would use them again for remodels but not for simple painting jobs.
